Sold items public view not showing recently sold items compared to seller sold items page
when you search my store and view sold items it is not showing recently sold items! But when I check my seller dashboard of course it is accurate! I understand it may time for public view to update but public view second item shown is from January! Since then I have sold items after that date! I find it strange! I would not be surprised if this is indeed a error and my eBay account needs a reset? Please assist my future sales are dependent on my (paid) eBay store to be fully functional! Thanks!

·1 year agoYes, you are just calling it by a different name. You are describing a Variation listing.
I always used variation listing to describe a listing with items for sale with a variation in color, size etc versus using the quantity option in a standard listing page. Maybe they are called the same thing?
I have only made a few variation listings which are really pain to construct. I use more often a regular listing with quantity, as with the Baccarat Goblets. So my experience, quantity listing solds only show up in Product Research until ended.

·1 year agomam98031 The public facing sold information also does not count sales via a variation listing correctly. Or at least it doesn't, hasn't for me. It will show one sale, but not multiple sales of different items on that variation listing. Again that is something I've always noticed on my information.
I also noticed that if you have multiples lots for sale in one listing , the Solds do not show in the general public sold search and they also do not show in the sellers sold search. The solds do show in Ebay Product Research. Usually, when the last lot is sold, the listings shows up sold, if you end the listing, but not if you are out of stock. A week or so ago, I sold 2 Baccarat goblet lots that only show up in Ebay Product Research. The goblet listing page does show that two lots have sold and how many are still available.

·1 year agoI have been seeing this occur randomly off and on as well. My sold listings often won't match the order page, but later on some of the missing ones will show up when checking again.
I have just gotten to the point where I don't really bother with looking at them.
What I really enjoy is the difference between the amount of feedback I have left over the years vs the amount I have gotten. LOL
And if you look at my sold items vs my feedback left for buyers, you will see the discrepancy in the amount of feedback vs visible sold items, even for a 30 day period. Hilarious. (and yes that's taking into account feedback left on multiple items for one sale)

·1 year agoAre they multi quantity listings? MQ listings don't always appear instantly in sold search, but will appear within 24 hours, sorted in the correct order. That's kind of a weird quirk / system lag.

·1 year agoThere is no problem and sold search results are showing in the correct order. The answer @makebidz is your use of the "out of stock" setting.
When you sort the public facing sold results by 'ended recently' you'll see exactly that - listings sorted by end date.
However end date of the listing does not necessarily match the sale date.
That California album was originally listed Dec 22 2023, so the monthly renewal date was the 22nd.
The listing sold Jan 6 2025.
Out of stock listings will automatically end after 6 full monthly renewal cycles out of stock if not manually ended sooner or restocked.
Renewal date of Jan 22, plus 6 months = July 22.
The listing ended July 22 so it will appear in the end date sort order on July 22. The "sold" date is correct listed as Jan 6 because that's the date you last sold quantity from that listing.

·1 year agoI don't know what that means. Are you thinking the same listing should appear 4 times in sold search results if someone purchased 4 variations?
If I understood your statement correctly then no, that's not how it works, nor should it work that way. That would be pretty chaotic.
The listing appears once. If sorted by 'ended recently' then it will appear in order of the date last sold, unless the listing was ended, then it will appear in order of date ended regardless of last sale date. That's correct behavior.
If I misunderstood then maybe you can try to explain again?

·1 year agoI realize that is not how it works. That is what I said. It does not accurately represent multiple sales on a variation listing. It never has. Whether you agree it should or shouldn't show those sales, wasn't the point. It is just a fact that it does not, so it isn't accurate. I've never depended on this function to tell my my sales anyway. No seller should.

·1 year agoOMG, OK. It is sort of a Sold report but not really for anyone that sells very many things from a variation listing.
I know it is intentional programming. That doesn't mean I can't say this situation doesn't exist.
Yet again I caused you concern for some reason. I respect your point of view.

OP1 year agoBut when I view other at random sellers sold listings from a public view it shows the sold listings in the correct date order?

It will catch up sooner or later. I know it frustrates me too from time to time. It isn't right 100% of the time, but the information on the Seller Hub is where you find more accurate information. And this is where they need to be correct.
You will be fine and so will your sales.
The sold items that you can see from your store only go back about 90 days. So January numbers would not be represented.

OP1 year agoJanuary is not so soon! Lol yeah we all feel the frustration time to time with eBay errors! ( see my other tread on how eBay can’t update my address after I moved!) but when I randomly check other sellers sold listings randomly it shows correct date order and since I can’t see their actual sold listings I don’t know if any sale might be missing! Update I’ve seen 1 new sold item appear in public view but date order is still incorrect!

I responded to both of your other threads you started yesterday and given you information on how to either fix the problem or how to handle the problem. Clearly you haven't read those posts yet. I did post yesterday.
As for how the sold items display. Just above the list of listing on the right side is a place in which you can select how you want the items to display. Just change it until you get the order you want.
Your options are:
Ended Recently
Newly Listed
Price + Shipping Lowest
Price + Shipping Highest
Distant Nearest First
