SOLD item RELISTED by eBay
When I sell an item I go to listings then unsold and/or ended and paste the item into the value section search and delete!
But this week an item I sold over a year ago got resold and now I have a defect!
I contacted eBay to remove the defect and got a response within 2 minutes that they would not and that the decision was final.
They do not make it easy for sellers. I am very frustrated by this as I work very hard (as we all do) to maintain good metrics!

·3 years agoHappened to me this morning . I just posted about it. This has been going on for years and ebay does nothing as usual.

·3 years agoThey're called "ghost listings," items that sold, disappeared from your account months or years ago and suddenly get sold again.
Ebay denies that it happens but it does. I had it happen with an item. I'd had several listings of the item in various colors. Some sold, some were still available and about 18 months-2 years after I'd sold a green one, I got a message that I'd been paid for one that sold that day.
Thinking it was my error and in order to avoid a defect, I let the buyer know that I'd be issuing a full refund and sending them the identical item but in a color I still had.
My item never showed in a search of my listings but somehow, it was there for a buyer to purchase.
I delete all my "unsold and not relisted" items on my account and haven't had a similar occurrence but it DOES happen.

·3 years agoYou must have forgotten about that one. Ebay automatically relists everything until you end it manually. Even on auction unless you mark it to say do not relist.

Unsold Auctions may be auto relisted IF you tick the box for that option.
Fixed Price listing renew each month.
In NEITHER case do these thing happen to a listing that has sold and has ZERO quantity remaining.

·3 years agoNot true. We have has 5 items just this week that relisted somehow AFTER they were paid and shipped. Getting rather annoying having to contact people and delete orders/listings. Not good for the store score.
