Sold 2 small items to same buyer at same address can I combine shipping in one package
Dear eBay,
I sold 2 small sets of tennis string to the same buyer at the same address. I was paid for both items and separate shipping fees for both items. Can I combine both items in one package for shipping , and if so, what happens to the additional payment that has been made intended for separate shipments? How do i address this?

·1 month agoOn your 'orders' page, select both orders -> choose 'get label' from the shipping button -> on the top left of the next page will be a 'combine orders by buyer' link. This will link the two items into one shipment, then you can input your new weight/dim and buy the label.
If you choose to refund any overage to the buyer, you can do a partial refund from the order details. It will let you choose the amount and deduct the fees back as well.

·1 month agojust make sure the tracking # is entered with the 2nd item. I add the tracking # from the 1st item then mark it complete.

·1 month agoWhen this happens to me I combine the shipment (letting the customer know) and I refund the difference back to the buyer. You can do this in the shipping section and it will let you combine the order. Then you have to refund which I usually just pull the order back up and find the refund button/link after I have posted the order.
There are cases due to cost of the item that I would leave it as is with two shipments.

·1 month agoMy selling ID had a situation like that a couple weeks ago. eBay combined both items into one Order. eBay did charge my buyer the shipping on each item, so I did process a refund of the shipping charge that my buyer paid.
When you click on the "refund" button, you can type in whatever amount you wish to refund.
IF eBay also combines both of your sold items into one Order, you will not be prompted to purchase shipping twice, i.e., once for each of those two items. When you purchase the shipping through eBay, the tracking number will populate automatically.
By the way, eBay will possibly refund you a few cents in your Final Value Fees as well.
