So PSA Vault(formerly Ebay Vault) Pretty Much Selling XXX Stuff Now
So PSA Vault is getting out of hand on the obscene stuff they're selling on there now. I report it and they say they don't see a issue with the listing. This only applies to PSA vault items mainly, because they have their own ToS I guess. They sure do have an interesting way of seeing things, so I will try to keep it PG and describe maybe what they are seeing.
I wont post the links because I want this post to stay, so I will just post the name of the card and you can look it up on ebay if you want. PSA vault does say its family friendly so it should be good to go right?
Heck even going on to PSA vault and typing in CGC will probably pull this content up instantly. Be warned though, this is something you would not want your kids to see, your wife, your mother, your brother your sister and maybe not even your dog. So hide your wife & hide your kids!

So psa vault took over the ebay vault, and they're official partners now. I wasn't sure how people vault, so I looked up the process. Anyone can send to them graded cards, but they scan the slabs, do the listings and authenticate it. So there is plenty of time for them to see if its against the ToS, but their ToS is pretty loose apparently. If a listing does get reported but several people it will eventually be removed, but then it will just be back up the next day. There is no penalty for them I guess.
It kinda reminds me of the Epstein case, where Chase JP Morgan did business with him even though they knew he was "breaking the rules". Why? Because its making them both a lot of money. The term sex sells doesn't come from no where, and it applies to both scenarios here.
Which brings me to another story on why this post was created. So this post was created for two reasons:
1)Equality and or discrimination
2)Not having your boss or kids or family see this kind of stuff while you're just trying to buy slabs
So I was one of those that was browsing PSAvault for CGC slabs. I just typed in CGC to see what auctions were hot, and the very first page was filled with divine cross listings. Granted this was awhile ago and it was no where near as bad. Just in bikinis or what not, nothing sexual. I never searched for this kind of stuff and never looked at it, because well its kinda wack, but I thought since its graded it might have some value, especially if its ok with PSA and Ebay to sell it.
So I bought one card from the psavault, and ended up flipping it for some decent profit. So I ended up buying more from the psa vault. Everything was fine for like a year, just selling modest waifus. Then I got a buyer that wanted a deal on a few of them, I responded initially from my phone, but once I got on my PC I decided to check his feedback left for sellers. He had only like 10 reviews and 2 of them were negative in all caps, talking about how he won an ebay money back guarantee. So I declined his offer and blocked him, not worth the risk, perhaps if he had 50 positives to go with that, but that was a major red flag. In retrospect I shouldn't have said anything to him.
So this buyer after a few days starts to go ham on some of my listings. None of them were breaking ToS, no areolas shown, no erotic poses, no cream on them...Nothing lewd or sexually explicit like the prior mentions. The moderators agreed with him, and before you knew it on day 3 I had like 30 violations...I tried to stop the madness, and cropped out their whole body and just left their head, but nope still violation. T
They seriously took down a picture of just a girl fully clothed in a button up dress jacket that wasn't showing any visible skin (or edgy clothing) besides her hands lifting up her glasses. I said how the heck is that sexually explicit? They said its your last warning and ill have my listings hidden for 3 days if it happens again. I appealed all 13 of the last violations with just a head, they declined all of them. Said those heads were too sexually explicit.
So I did a test, and I reported the same card listing (here it is if you're curious : Hojo N Ghos-01-16)
from another user of that girl just lifting up her glasses. They decided it was not a violation, which it shouldnt be because its modest but...Nothing like discrimination in 2026. Its a special feeling when the business you work with tell you that you're doing something wrong, but the other person is not when its the same exact listing. Remember I appealed that ruling and they said nope, was in violation for sure.
Really surprised by that too, considering I have 100% rating with 1,300 sales in just 2 years, and last year pulled in 20k for them. I also pay for a store subscription, but no longer after this fiasco. They probably pulled like 3k worth of inventory off my store, and it wasn't even breaking the ToS. I even put giant black bars over their chest if it seemed too inappropriate(prior to the just face pics), because I do sell other things on my store as well. And I would like for the presentation to be respectable in case someone is browsing my page with their kids in the room.
So I decided to do some more testing, I decided to report a few normal sellers for the same exact listings they took down from me, some even had covered everything but their head as well. Most if not all of those listings got removed. These are nothing sexual btw, its just like Jessica Rabbit in a dress standing in front of a microphone. They got me for just her head though. So I reported the same listings on the psavault, there are like 30 of them each on there! They said every single one of them did NOT violate ToS. So they pretty much will take down anything a user reports from a seller other than PSAvault. They don't even debate it much, just someone reports a face ok remove it, they're covering it up so it must be super lewd.
So I go over to PSA vault to see not just the same listings, but all this other nearly XXX stuff...that is NOT in violation of ToS. PSA stopped grading these types of cards because of their reputation, they don't want these cards slabbed with a PSA Logo, its always been against their ToS to grade, but they're 100% fine selling it. The "Adult Only" Category is Gone
eBay removed the category in June 2021 to create a "safe and trusted marketplace" and align with strict anti-pornography policies from their payment processor, Adyen.
There is no longer a site-wide "age-gate" warning. eBay now assumes all registered users are 18+, which has led to adult-themed art and collectibles appearing in general search results.
The Issue with PSA Vault Listings
Since eBay sold its vault service to PSA in 2024, these items are authenticated and listed by PSA directly.
Because PSA experts scan and clear these slabs before they go live, eBay’s automated reporting systems often default to "no issue found," even when the cards show prohibited content, these items are listed under "Trading Cards," a category that lacks the aggressive filters applied to "Adult" media, allowing explicit imagery to slip through.
How to Report,
Standard "Report" buttons often fail because of the PSA partnership. To get a human review:
Use the Regulatory Reporting Form, it allows you to explicitly cite the Restricted Adult Items Policy, which bans "sexual acts" regardless of the category.
Or contact PSA Directly, send the certification number or eBay item number to vault@psacard.com. Since PSA manages the physical vault and the listing imagery, they have the authority to pull items that damage their "family-friendly" brand reputation.

OP7 months agoSo my post with the links of listings they say is not against ToS got removed by mods. Which is on ebay website itself, but on the forums it's considered p0rn? Very interesting outlook how it's so differnt from the forums to the listing themselves. Even my pg explanation has been censored lol.

The Boards are hosted by Khoros, not ebay, and the mods who remove and edit things here are Khoros employees, not ebay employees. The rules for Khoros boards are not the same as the rules for ebay listings.

OP7 months agoIt's what drives us. Seeing your profile pic made me think of how they even they put sex in the lion king. The spelling which wasn't no where near as bad, but why put that in a kids movie??? Not trying to stop it. I just think it shouldnt be where kids could view it.

·7 months agoYou would have much better luck lobbying CGC to stop grading that stuff than you would with getting ebay to change anything. Ebay is a multi-billion dollar publically traded company. CGC has a couple hundred employees and a few satellite offices.

·7 months agoeBay doesn’t react to individual reports. Thats why you get an AI response saying no violation was found when a listing clearly violates a policy.
In any case, your concern would have more weight if you were actually concerned by the issue and that your concern wasn’t actually borne out of having one of your listings pulled and feeling “discriminatedâ€.

Im sure Ebay saw you as a vindictive seller trying to get rid of the competition.
