If you don't like conversing with an AI program, you have plenty of other options in which you can contact Ebay. Also you have this community to help you. If you want to tell us what is going on for you, without any private account info, we can try to assist you. We have a lot of pretty smart people that hang out here just to help others.
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.
I've had a few on-line chats with the 'bots. These things are still learning and compared to what we will see in a few years, they are virtually still ignorant.
The biggest problem I have noticed is the 'bots don't give you enough options to select your problem as described by many throughout these forums. When they don't provide an option that describes YOUR problem and you try to explain it, the 'bots seem to huddle, then hit you with the 'how can I help you' message again.
And round and round it goes.
I suggest you read eBay's policies as most of what you need to know is hidden in there somewhere!
The 'bots are just there for entertainment, like the elevator music when you're put on hold.
Totally agree with you - it's the circular arguing that still winds me up even though I am fully aware of their limitations, I think that it is more than acceptable to vent, at them, when they keep repeating ..... grrrr ðŸµ

Ebay has been using AI's for the Chat for a long time. When you seem to be spinning your wheels, just type in Agent into the chat. The bot is programmed to then get you to a human.
Unfortunately, people who know little about AI (which includes probably 90% of CEO types) don't realise that it's GIGO - garbage in/garbage out. Hopefully this little demonstration will wake some people up.
