SNEAKY EBAY (showing return delivered while in transit)
I was shocked that EBAY is giving a deadline to refund the customer (EBAY claimed item was delivered while still in transit).
After talking to EBAY customer service, he explained when tracking "stops" and doesn't show movement for 7 days this triggers EBAY automated return system to assume item was delivered.
EBAY customer service rep will give me an "extra week" and if the return doesn't arrive to contact them and they will rule in my favor. Of course, I plan on refunding the customer whether I get package or not (buyer was super nice and very patient).

And you have been with eBay a long time.
Go into web site of shipper...not eBay and actually read what it saids...'delivered while in transit'...and read what the tracking is stating.
I would be curious to actually see 'delivered while in transit' stated....looking up the tracking number on the shipping website.

That's a good one, I've never heard that one before. The CS reps must have a new script.

·10 months agoThat is typical and has been going on for at least past 5 years. Sellers are responsible for shipments being returned and even if they never deliver, ebay will assume it did (if it at least shows 'some' tracking, that the buyer did ship it back) as they will just believe the carrier system didn't communicate delivery and give you X days to refund buyer.
Happened to me that way.
