You have made a really solid start selling on eBay. Now you just need to refine your listings. A bit of tweaking should help improve your sales, although in retail, up and down activity is often the norm.
Details are important. Descriptors are how shoppers are drawn to a listing. If those details are not exact, buyers will have trouble finding your items.
For example, the listing entitled “Urband Frontier Xxl Gray Women’s NWT Quarter Zip Light Sweatshirt†there is conflicting information. The brand name is misspelled in the title, it is Urban Frontier. In the Item Specifics and the Description field, you reference the brand as being “Greyâ€.
Shoppers looking for Urban Frontier clothing may not see your listing in their Search results. So, this is a place to start—fix your details and give your listings a chance to be found.
Glad you came to the forums. You’ll attract even more shoppers now. Best of luck to you, and hang in there!!

·2 years agoIt can be a bumpy ride sometimes.
The main goal is not to get discouraged and take the slow time to source, improve listings if you need to
Maybe run some sales?

·2 years agoYou got some good items with good pics at good prices. It's just how eBay is , good days and bad days. Maybe try a few sales and change prices around every now and then as well as changing the pics around

So long as you know how to deal with buyers that don't pay, you may wish to turn these off:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements
Buyer Payment Requirements
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.
Click submit.
Buyers do not like this, as it limits their payment options, and combined shipping for one price becomes problematic. It is a great way to discourage buyers who DO pay. Other sellers that have changed the defaults eBay awarded to you to NO have reported positive results.

WHAT'S GOING ON?

·2 years agoI re-read the original post and you are absolutely right.
My mistake. I do apologize to you and the OP.
I'm just so used to all those posts that complain about slow/no sales and blame ebay.

You live on a Volcano and have sold Gummy Pickles. If that's not a great start an incredible action horror movie I don't know what is!

·2 years agoSo you are doing the EXACT same thing that ANY retailer (online, B&M Store) has been doing for over 100 years.

·2 years agoYou're actually doing very well, selling in a very super-saturated category - swings are going to be normal.
It's also better to take a longer view - month to month instead of day to day or week to week. Even top retailers can't really predict footfall as accurately as they would like. I have swings in sales, too, but I found it all evens out over the months.

·2 years agoSelling "used one ofs" requires more listings to sustain a consistent sales level.
Most sellers begin with some level of inventory which is not being replenished quickly enough and gets picked over and sales drop from their initial levels.
Add to that the fact that many retailers, online and B&M are offering clearance clothing similar to what you are offering in New condition for less than your used items.

·2 years agoYou are not doing anything wrong. Been here for almost 20 years and it has always been like that. Some weeks super slow and then picks up with great weeks. It's all about what ebay does not what you are doing.

I expect it will always be that way.
