Slightly concerned

I'm a little concerned I may be involved in a scam of some kind, as I made a sale for both my monitor and ps5 both within minutes of each other

I sold the monitor first to an account named AAA with the post code XXX 124 but when I typed that post code in on Royal Mail to look at delivery costs it couldn't find the address

So I messaged the buyer and questioned it and he stated he accidentally typed the last letter of post code wrong and the correct address is XXX 123 in messages and when I typed that correct post code on Royal Mail, it worked

Am I actually then covered to send it to the correct post code provided through messages as original one linked to the sale is wrong, or is that part of an elaborate scam?

At first I thought it may be a genuine mistake but moments later my PS5 sold to an account name BBB who has 150+ 100% feedback but also had a funny address though it is right - some flat in uni halls - what made this one fishy is then an account named CCC messaged me asking when it would be posted - an account that had nothing to do with the sale? I haven't replied to that messages though.

All the above just seems a bit too fishy?

1 - which address should I post the monitor to - if at all? Post code linked to sale is wrong by one letter but was then corrected in messages

2 - should I still send ps5 to original buyer even though that random account messaged me?

3 - should I cancel both sales and relist?

4 - if I do then canel and relist, have I then lost out on the 80 off fees promo?

@albertabrightalbertapretty much nailed it. The only thing I would add is electronics are high target items for scammers so always remember the #1 rule as a seller, never list anything you are not prepared to take the financial loss on.

If I had a PS/5 it is something I would have sold locally. First less risk, second I would not have to pay the eBay fees and buyer would not have to pay for the shipping and have to worry about damage in transit.

I agree! It would sell very quickly, the buyer could try it in your home as proof it works, and no returns. We had to wait over a year to finally get one.

Contact the buyer to let him know you're going to cancel and will relist. Tell him to repurchase but when he pays, make sure the address is correct because "for both buyer and seller protection, you must ship to the address in the payment and it must be correct." Cancel the order as "problem with the address."

If this buyer paid and ebay says it's okay to ship, do so. Ignore the message you got from a non-buyer.

3 - should I cancel both sales and relist?

See my recommendations in #1 and #2 above.

I don't know the answer to this one.
