Since the big outage Sunday, no sales at all, in fact 6 Days now 0
Just wondering if anyone else has had a huge loss in sales. I usually sell 1 to 2 items a day, sometimes I will go 2 days no sales then 5 in one day, but since last Friday the 23rd and including the Ebay recent outage, I have zero sales. Seems odd, but maybe people just lost all interest in my over 1000 listings?
I know sales come and go, up and down, but I have never gone 6 days without a sale of any kind.

·4 months agoNothing has changed for me. What for years I considered my floor is now my ceiling. Down 70% the last 7 days yet again. Once I'm done on my work shop, I think it wise to put all of my energy/money into paying off the home equity loan I took out for my ebay business/work shop. I do not trust having all of my eggs in this basket (No other baskets are good for what I sell) and having a rather large monthly loan payment over my head isn't helping matters.
Hopefully everyone else is doing well.

·4 months agoJust had my first sale since the first outage; no clue if that's because of site wonkiness, or sales just being down in general. I may never know.

·4 months agoThere is no-telling how many buyers found their purchases elsewhere and may continue to buy elsewhere after a site debacle like that.
Could be considered quite deflating in many respects.
Hard to believe it took a couple of days to get things working, for the most part, with plenty of residual effects.

·4 months agoStill barely moving along. Sales down over 60% the last 7 days. At least its given me plenty of unexpected free time to finally get the inventory storage portion of my workshop drywalled so its not a total loss.

·4 months agoit would have been a Nice Jester, on eBays part...to let us users of the site...know about the down outage bug...problems...I ripped apart my 3 Browsers settings for Chrome/Firefox/MSN ...trying to fix my computer for 2 days...since it was not signing in to eBay, or out...for that matter...It is still a little buggie...signing out...

·4 months agoYES. There is something very wrong with the Ebay platform. It may not be affecting all sellers or all categories. But, the Seller Hub isn't performing well. When I end a listing and then go to the 'inactive' file to sell similar, it may or may not even show. The listings total number is off. It is messed up. Saying that, SALES have fallen due to this mess that went on last weekend. I've sold on Ebay for many years under several sites. I have never had many days without sales until recently when it all died. It died. I promote listings. I do sales, coupons, I send offers out, I renew my listings, I add new listings, etc. I know how to run the business. But, you're right. There is a BIG issue. I hope it gets back on track soon.

·4 months agoI've stopped ending and sell similar recently because of this. I'm having this exact issue. I have had my ups and downs after selling here 20 years, but it's the worst ever. Nothing helps. Whatever is going on in the background needs to be fixed asap. Devon you've been helpful to me on some issues, what's going on? @devon

·4 months agoI have had only one sale in April. I never go this long. The only time this happens is when eBay wants me to do something I don't want to do. Like, when they wanted me to offer free shipping, free returns, and promote my listings. My sales suddenly drop to zero while they keep pushing their bull**bleep**. All of which I ended up doing, and every time my items suddenly started selling again. Only this time, they seem to be trying to force the new "Priority" promotions which will cost at least $5 per day, which my tiny store can't absorb. Someone bigger than me with tech savvy and know-how ought to sue the crap out of them for this. It has to be illegal somehow. 😓

·4 months agoMy sales down 52.6%. Listing impressions down 36%. Page views down 27%. I list daily, tweak older listings, etc. etc. I have been a seller for 20 years. I promote as much as I can. Shipping rates have increased too. It's gotten very bad at least for me.

·4 months agoI had a sale on Sunday, 2 on Tuesday, and 2 on Wednesday.
I don''t use FB MP very often, but on Monday I posted a few bulky items that would be difficult to ship as eBay sales, and got 3 sales there.

·4 months agoBTW, 28 orders yesterday, so it's working for enough buyers. That's a reasonably normal day for us, the previous Wednesday was 26 orders. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday actually ended up being similar when I look at the number of orders, so it wasn't nearly as slow as it felt when I commented last.

This from AI. Mentions a number of factors. But, we have dealt with seasonal, market, etc. over the years, It mentions algorithm. Of, course they had a MAJOR hit with some type of cyber attack in the last few days. So, we watch and wait.

·4 months agoI'm right there with you. Ebayer for years. Sales every day. 2600+ listings. No sales since Sat. Something is broken. My items haven't changes, I still list, etc. It is an Ebay issue. Hope it gets fixed soon.

·4 months agoI'm actually doing better since the outage than I did last week. I don't know why. I did a good deal of listing through this period. I'm getting offers as well and being pretty generous with most because I want to move stuff, not have it still listed when I am finally taking the plunge to retire.

On another note, I am not having any problems buying yesterday and today. No problems with search or contacting sellers.

·4 months agoI have roughly the same amount of items and same number of sales as you. Try running a sale on your items and see if that helps.

·4 months agoI did notice on both my stores the traffic count plunged and has not returned to normal yet. Not sure if it's from ebay issues or just a war slowdown.

I always get at least one sale every 3 days.

·4 months agoEveryone that typically window shops on Sunday, and then buys that day, or Monday or Tuesday- couldn't get in on Sunday, so they spent their wad on Amazon.
It will take a week or 2 for 'them folks' and/or new shoppers-this weekend (if all goes well).

·4 months ago..im in the same boat... not ONE sale since last Thursday evening...in 13 years this has NEVER happened...always at least 1 or 2 sales a day..sometimes 2 or 3 days without a sale on occasion but NOTHING like this...at this rate it's going to be another day without anything sold...I've promoted..I've listed...I've sent a hundred offers and still crickets...there is DEFINITELY something off...!

·4 months agoI have only had $150 total in sales since the outage started (still ongoing by the way, just not as visible as it once was). Definitely way below normal.

·4 months agoIt has been slow. Yes sales will tend to drop with an extended outage. Starting to recover. Buyers couldn't bid or make offers. Hopefully it turns around soon. I sell similar toy figures you do and that category is very slow.

·4 months agoWe’ve definitely seen a decrease in sales from our usual, and while there could be other reasons, we had at least one person having trouble paying so it’s likely others did as well and didn’t contact us. Hopefully this will be completely resolved soon.

Sales rate has felt odd since the attack, but I have had sales.
If there wasn't an attack, I might blame it on the USPS shipping surcharge.

·4 months agoI had a few International Sales...I think that's because promoted items were offline during the glitch of those who promote...I only had a few 'repeat buyers' who are domestic.
I have had no first time buyers in days.
I don't promote much anymore.
I do feel a number of potential buyers got upset with the glitch on Sunday and much of the next day.
I wonder if those who promote a high percentage rate are getting sales...
It will be a bumpy ride for a while I guess.

·4 months agoHaven't had any sales since the outage either. But it's been very slow this month regardless.
I think a lot of us are experiencing this right now.
When it comes to selling online - and economic conditions in general - there will be good times, and there will be not-so-good times. This is one of the latter.
Hang in there, catch up on your listing backlog, or a hobby. Things will get better.

I heard descriptions were disappearing and all sorts of stuff.

·4 months agoSales are way down for me. I was averaging 7 sales a day then since Sunday I've gotten 5 sales. My items that were selling every day haven't sold in 3 days. Major issues going on.
