sideways pictures
i started taking pictures witk my i phone and when i load them they turn sideways unless i rotate them before i load them
auctiva said lock my phone screen so i did and that dint work
i have done everything they said but nothing works\
it is in their site cause i list on several other sites and they stay up right
can anyone help cause auctiva wont help

·8 months agoI take my photos on my I phone & no matter how I take them some always wind up sideways, so I just flip them around on the photo editing screen.

·8 months agoThen rotate the photos AFTER you load them into your eBay listing or when editing any listing that's already active. You can click on each photo that's been uploaded, which brings up an "Edit Photo" window. At the bottom of the window are 6 icons to use in editing the uploaded photos. The first icon on the left is the rotate icon. Click on that and rotate the photo, if necessary.
This works perfectly on a desktop or laptop. I don't know of anything similar if you only use a phone to make your listings, but if not, use a desktop or laptop. I'm also not sure if the use of Auctiva might throw a monkey wrench into the works.
Hopefully, problem solved.

·8 months agoThe iPhone handles rotation in unexpected ways at times because it does "non-destructive edits" most of the time, meaning the original remains unchanged and a set of instructions for how it's modified is saved alongside it. Are you listing using Auctiva (that's implied but you didn't say specifically)? You may want to export the photos from your phone as JPG or PNG images, which will either apply the edits permanently or allow you to then rotate them before uploading them. Sometimes just changing your iPhone's settings to use "Most Compatible" instead of "High Efficiency" can help too, in the Settings app under Camera -> Formats.
