Showing receipt
Do I have to show the seller the receipt where I purchased? I do have it but it has been in a drawer is faded. However, I do have other stuff on receipt and possible other information I don’t think the buyer needed to see. See below last message also in my post selling bracelet in the description I did not mention receipt.
Hello- did you see my last question? I would love to see the full receipt please. Sorry about all the questions, but I get scared when I'm about to spend lots of money LOL 😉

OP2 years agoI made it home from work a little late last night and did not get a chance. I’m about to do it at work. I’ve got some different pictures on my phone I’m going to add until I get home and do it. I’m going to take the on a black background to show how beautiful the bracelet is.

·2 years agoThis is going through Authentication. I would NOT share a receipt. You are not obligated to do that in any way.
By the way, I do suggest for major purchases you scan and save receipts. I do this not on eBay stuff but just in general since receipts do fade and you never know when you need to invoke a warranty or something....

·2 years agoFirst of all I would put “RETAIL PRICE $14,000†secondly no one needs to see your receipt. I had that come up on an expensive item and I think the deal fell through. However that is no one’s business. Especially with names like Roberto Coin…my favorite.
A couple of things…see if you can improve that picture. It doesn’t show the beauty of this piece. You might want to go look at other sold listings and make that picture sparkle. Also is this a bangle, and your title doesn’t even mention diamonds, carat weight, so make this listing one that will catch a buyers eye.

Also you don’t give any measurements or the size. That is important.

OP2 years agoThank you for your help. I will most definitely go and redo somethings on that listing. If all sales are not final how long does the buyer have to return it? That bothers me too with this being such a nice bracelet. I read some other posts that gave me a little scare.

·2 years agoWith Ebay, they have 30 days to file for a return.
If they pay through Pay Pal or credit card, they have 6 months to file for a refund.

They have 30 days, and they can always do a chargeback. I have sold a few things under the authenticity guarantee program. One was a Roberto Coin 18K YG and diamond bracelet, which was authenticated and went to the buyer. She then opened a not as described case, took a picture upside down so the diamonds did not show. Eventually she returned the bracelet and it was re-authenticated and returned to me. I put it on, and have never take it off. That was a bad experience. My others have been fine.

Note that @frugalmarketplace typed, "They have 30 days, and they can always do a chargeback." This means that buyers have 30 days with the eBay Money Back Guarantee, but buyers have a window of (up to) 180 days to file with PayPal (if they used them) or with most Credit Cards. (That's the "chargeback" part.) To put it up for 180 days is perfect.

·2 years agoIf you have the receipt...why not show it to customer? You can just "hide" information you don't want them to see.

OP2 years agoI did tell her that and I did show her the part of the receipt with the name of the bracelet and how much it cost. She wants the entire receipt.

I have purchased several high end jewelry pieces on eBay. One was a Roberto Coin Diamond band. I did not ask to see the receipt as I knew what it cost, but the seller did include it in the package when she shipped it. I don’t think what someone paid has any correlation to the price. Gold and Diamonds prices do fluctuate.
As long as it passes authentication, who cares what someone paid for it.

OP2 years agoOkay thank you. I may revise and take that off too. If they did any research they would know this is a high end designer and the retail cost of his jewelry.
