Shout out to eBay's eBay board of directors and shareholder...
The platform is broken more than it functions correctly. Sellers are starving and we are being forced to put our efforts learning other platforms. Is there a current sense of any urgency to resolve this? I hope you are allowing overtime pay and monetary rewards to ebay staff members who can solve the coding problems and servers debacle. Its like bring in outside contractors if you have to but resolve this soon. Us sellers are starving and riding a roller coaster here. Its like crickets silent for days and then its like a teaser when our sales go nuts for a day and we think things are fixed for it to only become crickets again the very next day. It's been a stomach turning roller coaster ride for seller. Somethings up and eBay is not being transparent with their sellers as to what is happening.

·3 years agoI list on eBay regularly on six selling accounts.
I create new listings and do Sell Similar.
I bulk edit listings all the time.
I get sales and process the orders daily, and print shipping labels.
As a buyer I search for items, find them, and buy them.
I haven't run into anything broken in ages.
So I guess I am skeptical that the site is more broken than not.

·3 years agoI have 2 stores with over 17000 items valued at 1/2 million dollars. Both top rated, both better designed then 99% of the other sellers and sales SUCK. There are days we only get 1-2 sales from ebay LOL. The the whole "promoted listing" gimmick. So now on top of paying high fees we now need to pay ebay to promote our items. The problem with trying to squeeze every dime from sellers is you will eventually run out of gimmicks. We pay fees on sales tax and postage which only takes away from profit.

·3 years agoI would complain about sales, but does it really do anything? I'll use my energy on other things, like maybe sourcing or selling locally while the sells on ebay adventually will stabilize. We have seen huge fluctuations over the last 3 months, but that's the way it goes sometimes. I couldn't imagine how it would be if we was to solely have to relay on online sales. Luckily, of things get bad enough, I have a few numbers to call to move some stuff but I don't think it will come to that.

·3 years agoExactly. My store is doing the same thing. For about five straight days last week my store was doing awesome again and then boom. Dying.
Obviously, there are excellent IT employees at eBay. I think the brass bit off more they can chew. Too many changes all at once. I couldn't imagine working there in the last two years. They have to be getting spread thin(and that only makes things worse). I noticed a steady decline since the end of May. But I thought it was just a slow month so we bought a house and close in 3 days. Excellent timing. I absolutely love selling on eBay but I'm slowly bleeding out. Maybe this bad dream will be over soon.

·3 years agoYou have cool outdoor items for a yard....actually very cool in the front of a house or actually doorstoppers ( are they listed as that?). Thought I make that clear first.
My thoughts....with the heat wave, the floods, the tornadoes in the USA at this time I don't think buyers are thinking about what to put on their lawns...if they are still there. And you don't sell International which means you are dealing with only domestic sales. When the weather gets better I think sales will be better.
I forgot what state had soft ball hail the other day. People are trying to repair their cars from that.

·3 years agoMy sells have fallen like a brick since October of 2021. I think ebay has hired people based on everything except the ability to use common sense. Some of the changes that have happened make absolute zero sense and make things more difficult for sellers. (Pointless and out of order item specifics) Thankfully the listing software we use allows us to reach other platforms that in many cases out preform ebay. That never happened before. Ebay use to outsell the others by 4-1, but not any more. I also see many of the buyers on the other platforms. Thankfully they use the same names. Ebay needs to g back at being ebay and start hiring people based solely on their skill set as an educated person in their field.

·3 years agoi think it has something to do with losing 25% of the customers over the past 5 years ( almost 30 million in 2 years ) GMV has fallen to where it was in 2013 , Ebays market share keeps falling , there search engine is the biggest failure ever ( personally i think they JACKED the search engine to con more sellers into PL ) i use to promote but found it useless when Jaime took over ( another failure by a failure of a ceo ) if it take months to sell something using PL then why use it , at least when devin was here PL worked now they dont , it takes months to sell an item SAD whats happened to ebay , thats my opinion ... and yes i sell more off ebay now , use to be the other way around ... ebay is now 3rd on my list getting close to 4th place ... good luck , sell local thats working for FB
