Shipping times
I sold an idem that you could choice what color you wanted-There was 3 colors so I put them all in one ad. I sold one and contacted the buyer to see what color he wanted and have not heard back from him. I am going to be late shipping this out if I don't ship soon. I have messaged him twice-What should I do
I am thinking maybe I should just pick a color and ship it.
What do you think?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

·1 week ago · EditedI think you either need a variation listing, or you need three separate listings. I see you have listings where the very last sentence of the description say s"you pick the color". IMHO that is a recipe for disaster.
If you pick a color and the buyer does not like it, you will be forced to pay return shipping and then pay shipping again to send him the right one. Did you give the buyer a clear and firm deadline to respond, and did you cleary state what you would do if he did not respond it time?

·1 week ago@csm292 You have a few options. None of which are good. You should know that this is a very poor way to set up a listing as it leads to problems like this. If you literally only had three shirts, you should have set up three listings. You don't even have enough to make it worth while doing a variation listing.
You can cancel the order due to out of stock. Your account will take a hit, but as long as you don't have another one for a while you'll be fine.
You can pick a color for your buyer. It may not be what they want. You will need to be ready to accept a INAD return. The INAD will be a metrics hit.
You could wait to hear from the buyer. You risk an INR being opened. You will have a metrics hit either way.
You can ship all 3 colors to the buyer. I can about guarantee you this is what the buyer is expecting. You show 3 jugs. At the end of the tile you say "Yellow or Green." No mention that the buyer should message you with their color choice. You have to get all the way to end of your description to read that. Most buyers never read descriptions, especially when it looks like a bunch of AI fluff, which yours does.
If it were me, I would pick a color and send to the buyer. I would include a note about how the buyer did not let you know what color they wanted, so you picked one. Apologize that you did not make it clear in the listing. Make sure they know you have free returns, and you can swap it for them if they do not like the color they sent but please do that before they use it. By giving a nod to your oversight and letting the know you have free returns, you reduce the risk of negative feedback and probably reduce the risk of a return as well.
End the current listing. Make two seperate listings out of whichever colors you keep. It takes mere seconds to do as you can simply copy the first listing, swap the photos and change the color references in the listing. This also means when someone searches for that item, you will have two listings appear in the search.

·1 week agoYour listing was not set up as variation listing.
There is no way to force the buyer to pick a choice.
