Shipping restrictions to Michigan and California ? Cannot figure why ?
Hi, Hopefully someone can make a recommendation ? Have had 2 separate inquiries on shipping restrictions for an item I have listed.
Potential seller states in Ebay mail that the listing does not allow shipments to Michigan, another today saying shipments to California are not being allowed. I'm located in Massachusetts. Using EBAY -USPS shipping? Trying to figure what I may have done incorrectly ?? Thanks, John

·1 year agoas far as shipping restrictions to states as far as I know if something is banned in one state ebay just bans it everywhere., sorting things out by states is well above their abilities

·1 year agoReally? I'm in Calif and I know they ban certain water fixtures that aren't "pro water conservation" or certain generators or UPS power supplies that are like too beefy to the state. That means on ebay, they are banned everywhere?

Yeah, knowing what you are getting these questions about (the listing or item you are selling in question) will help a lot.
I live in Michigan, and usually don't have issues. But I'm near an island that is only accessible by ferry. Occasionally both eBay and Amazon will flag some items as not able to be shipped to that island (though there is no reason for them not to be). They will then have to have them shipped to someone on this side of the lake and then run it over on the ferry.

OP1 year agoHi Gator, Thanks for taking the time. I discovered that I had accidentally typed one of the box dimensions at 121 inches, instead of 12 inches. Think this solves the situation. John

·1 year agoI don't know what you've listed, but California has regulations controlling what can and cannot be shipped here. I'm unable to have Amazon ship me certain items, for instance.
