Shipping label double charge
Anyone know why I’m being charged twice for shipping labels created from eBay? My wings account is connected to my PayPal account which is connected to my eBay account. So why is it showing the shipping label deductions on both but only showing the earnings on my Wings bank account?

·2 years agoThat happened to me at least once. Recently. May be more times in the past, I am not sure.
I sold an item, purchased the label, shipped it out and it was delivered. Everyone is happy.
Then, a week later, I see a charge from Paypal for 1.5x the amount I paid for the label with reference to the SAME TRACKING NUMBER.
I contacted Paypal and complained about an unauthorized transaction. They responded as follows ( I kid you not, this is a direct quote from their response):
The transaction(s) that you claimed were unauthorized are consistent with previous transactions made from /similar dollar amounts previously sent from this PayPal account that were authorized.
What kind of **bleep** is that? If I go to a store for 20 years, it is somehow OK for the store to double charge me on occasion just because I always buy similar quantities of similar stuff???
Anyway, I contacted the CC company, filed a fraud clam, the CC refunded the unauthorized amount.
But this is a lesson learned. DO NOT use automatic payments with PayPal. If you have it on, turn it off. This means that you will have to manually confirm the purchase of a label every time. Well, it's two mouse clicks instead of one. Not a big deal.

·3 years agoPayouts go directly to your bank so there would be no reason to see the transaction in PayPal.
You're paying for shipping labels using PayPal to process the payments. Your bank is the default payment method on PayPal. So you see the transactions on PayPal and if you expand the details you will see the funds were pulled from your bank.
Then because the funds were pulled from your bank you'll see the transaction on your bank.
You are not being double-charged. That's how it displays when you pay for something with PayPal and the actual funding comes from another source (bank or CC) instead of your PayPal balance.

·3 years agoI am guessing you paid for the label with paypal and paypal drew the funds for the payment from your bank account. (either because your paypal settings have your bank as the primary funding source or there weren't available funds in paypal so paypal pulled it from bank.)

·3 years agoI don’t have any idea what a wings account is.
I see eBay charged PayPal for labels and PayPal shows the payment made for the labels.
