Shipping costs and selling lots.
Summary: The discussion revolves around the subject of shipping costs and selling lots. Multiple participants, including foster9, dhbookds, authentic*vintage, tobaccocardyahoo, and squinkercat59, are involved but the content of their contributions is not detailed in the data. The involvement of several participants indicates a possibly multifaceted conversation about the logistics and financial aspects of shipping costs in bulk selling.
I have been selling widgets (about 3" long, 1 1/2" wide, 1" high and roll on 4 wheels) for several years.
As my collection of said widgets has diminished over the years I still have roughly 1000 or so of these widgets of many different colors, makes and models (variations).
Due to high shipping costs the best way I can think to sell off these widgets here on ebay is to group them in lots of variations.
An example would be 50 widgets with either free shipping or a minimal s/h charge.
Once my collection has (hopefully) been sold off I can retire to some tropical beach, drink soda and watch the sun set.

·4 months agoYou could try listing them in one large group with local pickup only, if you want to get rid of them all at once.

·4 months agoLots of 50 widgets would need to be priced for another seller to be able to resell them individually.
Is it realistic to be able to price your widgets to sell? Especially after the next postage increase.
Your buyer will be subject to the same pressures which are motivating you to lot these items.

·4 months agoI would do smaller lots of 10 but that's just me. Are they in pack or loose?

OP4 months ago95% are loose in mint condition. The other 5% stays with me in a vault.
