Shipping charges
Summary: ste_885931 expressed concern about being charged $5.62 by eBay when a buyer paid only $1.62. Several participants suggested checking listing details and understanding eBay’s shipping policies, as discrepancies in dimensions, weight, or service selected could cause such issues. annadryl and 1786davycrockett pointed out that using eBay Standard Envelope (ESE) for items over $20 would result in a shipping method change. It's advised to scrutinize listings and label selections closely to avoid such problems.
Someone placed an order with me and only payed $1:62 but EBay wants to charge me $5.62.

·1 week agoWith multiple cards the dollar limit on Envelope shipping is 50.00 total. Each of the cards have to be under 20.00 singly though. If one of them is over 20.00 then it won't let it go through.

That Xograph 1971 3-D Super Stars Dick Butkus Chicago Bears #39/60 NFL Card
sold for $44.44 -- that's way over the $20.00 maximum for shipping with the eBay Standard Envelope(ESE).
You also show other items that are priced over $20.00 that you have listed for the ESE -- those items also will need to be shipped at USPS Ground Advantage.

·1 week ago · EditedeBay charges the buyer based on the dimensions / weight / service you offered (and the buyer selected) in your listing.
eBay charges the seller based on the dimensions / weight / service you selected when you bought the label.
You will need to check your listing and your label to understand why the dimensions / weight / service you offered (and the buyer selected) in your listing do not match the dimensions / weight / service you selected when you bought the label.
Only you can do that - we cannot help. But those numbers sound like the buyer paid for an Ebay Standard Envelope and you paid for USPS Ground Advantage.

·1 week agoWere you using ESE shipping for cards but the item (or combined items) ended at over $20? That would take away the ESE option, the next upgrading to Ground Advantage.

·1 week agoGood catch.
I bet you that's what happened.
Something that the seller should be aware of.
That actually happened to me before also.
I figured it out before blaming ebay.

·1 week agoYou set up the listing.
Ebay does what YOU tell to do.
Figure out what you did wrong and learn from it.
