·2 weeks ago@doctors4homes We need more information from you. I hope you will come back and participate in the thread you started with the issue. As you can see, many members are trying to help, but we have questions that only you can answer in order for us to give you accurate advice.
Have you contacted the buyer that got the wrong package?
Are they OK with you now shipping out the product they did order?
Are they willing to ship you back the items they did not order, at YOUR expense?
Did you ship items to this buyer that were actually meant for another buyer?
Have you contacted that buyer to let them know there is an issue?
We can help you, but we need your help with additional information. We ALL make mistakes, they don't define you, but how you handle and work out of those mistakes does.

·2 weeks agoAt the top and bottom of every page in Ebay are links to contact Customer Service. You have options, Ebay is not limited to one source for Customer Service.
You should save this information as it can come in handy from time to time. At the very bottom is a link in which you can request Ebay to call you.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

·2 weeks agoSend a message to the two buyers.
Explain the situation.
Send each buyer a shipping label they can attach to the delivered parcel and ask that the item be returned to you.
Cross all your fingers and toes.
Refund (the correct cost) on return.

·2 weeks agoebay can not help.
The options are
have them both open returns.
refund and let them keep the items.
Work out a way for each buyer to forward the item to its correct buyer with labels you provide.
Over the years I have done all three of these methods.
I have finally learned to be extremely careful when shipping, I take 1 invoice, one item, and 1 label, put them on a table separate from everything else and make sure they all 3 match, box that up then go to the next one.

·2 weeks ago@doctors4homes Your most recent sales were from September 15 and September 16.
Both of these items may have been delivered by now, so it's probably too late to do USPS intercepts.
You may have to contact each of those buyers on your own, to see if you can can engineer an exchange, for which you will need to pay the postage.
Otherwise, accept returns from both buyers, and refund.

I assume your mistake was in putting the shipping label on the wrong buyer's package.
How were you told of your error? Did the buyers receive the wrong item(s) and contact you? Or did you figure out your error before delivery?
If your buyers already received the wrong items and if they're cooperative, you could send them prepaid self-addressed return labels and have them send the items back to you, after which you can reship correctly.
But if they aren't willing to cooperate, the only option is to issue refunds and learned from your error so it doesn't happen again.

·2 weeks ago@doctors4homes How long ago did you ship these packages, and what shipping service did you use?
It is possible to do a package intercept under certain circumstances; however, eBay has nothing to do with shipping, so eBay may not be able to assist you.

·2 weeks ago · EditedI did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I notified the buyer that the wrong item had been shipped and told him the correct item was in the mail and on the way. Since we made the mistake we didn't ask for him to return it. Sometimes you make mistakes. Next time be more careful. This happens to everybody and will probably happen again. Ebay can't help you with this. As Mr. Wonderful would say, LEARN GRASSHOPPER!

·2 weeks agoHave you tried to contact the buyer (s)? Have they received it? I've had luck with paying the postage +$5 to have buyers mail to each other...... but you have to be in contact with the buyers and get their agreements.

·2 weeks agoJust give full refunds and move on.

·2 weeks agoThat is an option but sometimes sellers cannot afford to, or do not want to, give refunds and let the buyers keep the items, if the items are over a certain dollar amount. It is better for them if they have the items returned, even if they have to pay the return postage.

·2 weeks agoI don’t disagree - but not for this seller. Low priced items - this is throwing good money after bad.

·2 weeks agoHe's only sold two items, one for $12 & one for $42. He would probably be better off financially to refund the $12 one and let them keep it. But $42 may be more than he cares to "donate". Since we don't know his situation, we can't speak for him.

·2 weeks agoLet’s say that $42 is worth it to the OP. I bet the sting of it will make sure that he doesn’t make this mistake again. If and when I make a mistake - and we all do - I like to feel it. I like to blame myself and take a financial hit. That’s why I’ve had one “ghost listing.” That’s why I have one time mixed up items being sent. I give a full refund with no need to return and give the buyer something free from my store.

·2 weeks ago@doctors4homes As you have found out, ebay's CS system is of little or no help. The fact that you have found this forum should help you the most.
Please give details of what is going on and there will be someone here who can actually help you. Of course, it is possible that you may not like the answer because if you made the error (like wrong label on the wrong package) you are going to have to rely on the honesty of the buyers.
With wrong addresses for whatever reason it is very unlikely that ebay can help you.

·2 weeks agoWhat do you expect eBay to do?
You need to send the packages to the right person or refund them.
How did you find out that the packages are going to the wrong person? What happened?
eBay is not going to be able to fix this. It is on you.

Hi. It's the buyer's responsibility to provide the correct shipping address at checkout. It's your responsibility to ship the buyer's order to the address they provided. Which step went wrong here?Whoops, scratch all that, just noticed you said packages - plural. Still, give us more details pls? Is the second package still en route or have both arrived already? Have you been in contact with both buyers thus far or just one? Or none I guess. Basically what's the status on all of it right now?
