Setting up Store subscription
Summary: stuffmaster_26 is encountering issues setting up a store subscription on eBay due to a missing valid payment method, despite having a verified business account. jonathanbrightlight suggests ensuring a credit or debit card is set up, as this might be needed alongside the business account. dhbookds and eburtonlab advise that new sellers often face listing limitations and suggest trying to list items first, as opening a store might not be immediately beneficial. luckythewinner and 1786davycrockett highlight the need for match between the payment details and account information, noting that exact name matching is critical. stuffmaster_26 plans to review and address these suggestions.
Running into a roadblock when trying to create store subscription. Message insists that there is no valid payment method on my account despite my business account being entered, verified and confirmed by email from Ebay. There is no clear direction as to why this is supposedly missing, or what else needs to be done, so any help is appreciated. I'd like to get going with my listings but definitely want them all to be within a digital storefront.

You'll be limited on how many items you can list.

Keep in mind that the name on the credit card which you may be attempting to enter must also match EXACTLY the name on the eBay account.
If you are attempting to open an eBay account with a business credit card, the business name on your credit card may not be a match for your eBay account name.
And "exactly" means just that -- right down to punctuation marks and initials.

I believe that a seller must have created at least one active listing before a store subscription can be purchased.
Many of the benefits of a store are not useful until a seller has been selling for a while and has increased listing limits beyond the minimum for new sellers.

·2 weeks ago · EditedYour business account is entered, verified and confimed as a payment source for what purpose? When you sell on eBay, there are several different payment methods. I think you need one set up for selling costs ain addition to payouts:

OP2 weeks agoThe only options that come up for me right now are Checkout and Auctions and offers. Perhaps I need to list something and make a sale first before the others are made available?

·2 weeks agoCan't answer the payment problem, but I would try to list something and, if they block that, they may give a precise reason........

·2 weeks agoDo you have a credit or debit card set up as well? I believe that’s required, even if the payment for the store subscription is going to be taken from your available balance when possible.

OP2 weeks agoBusiness debit card is setup for payment on Auctions and other as well as Checkout. The only other options for payment are Paypal or Venmo and I haven't set up either for this entity as it shouldn't be necessary. Not sure why there isn't an option for checking account.
