Setting free shipping for domestic only
Hi, I've set free shipping for domestic only when I listed my item (257387119346). Now I am about to send an offer to a buyer who will purchase immediately and the person is located overseas where I never shipped before. I want to make sure that free shipping does not apply in this case. However, when I click shipping info, it only indicates free shipping. Is there any way I can confirm that I won't be responsible for free shipping overseas before I send an offer? Thank for your time and attention.

·5 months agoIn some cases, an overseas customer will use a freight forwarder.
You will be instructed to ship to a US address- usually in a no sales tax state.
Besides the state chosen, the other clue is a lot of numbers in the address, which are your customer's client number with the forwarder.
So your overseas customer gets the Free Shipping to that US address.
You have MORE protection when shipping to a forwarding address than to a domestic address.
EBay likes forwarded shipments. They even have their own forwarding service, eBay International Shipping (eIS) which is worth looking into. There are seven billion buyers out side the USA.

·5 months agoYour domestic shipping options do not extend to your international shipping options; they are separate. If I look at your shipping options in that listing and change my own country to something else, I will see this:
You might want to ditch that First Class International option and leave Ebay International Shipping as your sole international choice. That hands all responsibility over to Ebay once your package gets to Glendale Heights IL - which includes any later buyer claims; it is all handled by them.
