Sent Wrong Item to International Buyer - Disaster
I've been selling on Ebay for over 15 years, I sold an international item and sent the wrong item (first time ever). The item is worth 3x the one I was supposed to send. The buyer is from Japan. I tried reaching out multiple times to resolve etc., no responses. The buyer filed for refund, got to keep the much better item per Ebay AND left me negative feedback. It's been a complete disaster and I understand I made the mistake but my lord. I am now out over $300 and received my first negative feedback. Just seems very extreme.

·5 months agoI ordered a guitar pedal 100 bucks and the seller in eastern Europe accidently sent me a 6000 dollar amplifier. Despite having 0 obligation Im definitely making it right as long as they pay shipping costs. The laws are the way they to let markets police themselves but a line needs to be drawn somewhere. Unfortunately people dont have ethics and will happily take advantage of innocent mistakes.

OP2 years agoIt won't but man. At this point I'd be happy getting the negative feedback removed.

He is claiming a different person, not you. Try to stand your case with ebay and remove the negative. he even has zero feedback.
Honestly, I don`t like selling to Japanese buyers, had a few issues with them, as well and some of them are notorious middlemen who dispute payments and other dishonest activities (change user names because they been blocked or reported, etc).

But I will still continue selling to them.

·2 years agoThere is little one can do when they mix up items. Even if you pay for it's return, you might not get the same item back and just lose more. It's happened to a lot of sellers.
