Sending Survey and Marketing email to ebay buyers

Hi I'm wondering if ebay sellers are allowed to send survey to the buyers. trying to do a survey and collect the feedback from the buyers. Does anyone have experience sending surveys? if so, would you recommend sending the survey directly to buyers' email or to buyers' ebay inbox? thank you!

Yuck. I despise surveys. Surveys are not geared towards buyers.

I would not send any surveys - if you had your own website it would be different , but eBay basically considers our customers their customers and sending surveys can be interpreted as engaging in off-site transactios, so no, just leave them alone.

Buyers mostly find surveys (and survey requests) and unsolicited marketing emails annoying. And it's why feedback has basically gone extinct too. I'd recommend not sending surveys and other spam to any of your buyer's in-boxes at all, unless you're looking for a lot of ex-buyers.
