Sending An Offer On A Local Pickup Only Listing
If I have a listing that is local pickup only and eBay gives me the option to send an offer out to buyers, does my local pickup only still qualify? As I don't know who I'm sending an offer out to, would I be forced to ship the item if someone accepted the offer when I don't want to ship it? I could always cancel the order but then I'd risk getting negative feedback.
Thanks.

·1 month agoAnyone can buy your item, whether you send the offer or not. And in a lot of cases, people do buy Local Pickup items without reading the listing or realizing the item can't be shipped.
If someone buys your item and then expects shipping, just cancel the order for "problem with address". This happened to me a few times in the past when I sold workout equipment. I eventually started writing in the title in all caps LOCAL PICKUP ONLY and then I also added a little text box to the photos with the same words.
If you have to cancel and then receive negative feedback, that can be removed.

·1 month agoThe offer system inherits the original settings of your listing. It does not force or convert your listing into a one that offers shipping.
