Selling wine on eBay...I guess it's OK
There are laws where wine cannot be sold from some states to other states.
Some states have those laws like Utah, Mississippi and Delaware, Arkansas and Rhode Island.
Laws go back to prohibition era which are still on the book.
Kinda gives you an idea how artificial intelligence works...
And one item for sale doesn't even have 'adult signature' upon delivery.
I remember when the Chinese were putting fake wine in bottles and selling them for thousands of dollars...where you wouldn't know it's fake wine unless you opened it or had an expert do the needle in the cork
taste test which costs a fortune to do.

·1 year agoIt’s just some garbage wine from a winery that bottles cheap bulk wine and lets you design your own label. You too can buy your very own TEX421 PRIVATE RESERVE. Buy it now, $294,894.99. To comply with BATF label rules it still has to show the name of the actual winery that bottled it.

I see other wine listed with this caveat in description:
We currently ship alcoholic beverages to the following states: AL; AZ; AR; CA; CO; CT; DC; FL; GA; ID; IL; IN; IA; KS; KY; LA; ME; MD; MA; MI; MN; MO; MT; NE; NV; NH; NJ; NM; NY; NC; ND; OH; OK; OR; PA; RI; SC; TN; TX; VT; VA; WA; WV; WI; WY. Alabama orders may only be shipped to a liquor store near you. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, US Territories, or APO/FPO addresses.
and this:
X Wine Shop has been pre-approved by eBay prior to listing wine on the website. For more information, please visit https://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/alcohol.html.
Telsa doesn't have the required info in the description, nor is it in the wine category........

·1 year agoMaybe its in the "collectibles" category. What's funny about the 1806 bottle is that if you read the bottom of the label it says it was made in March of 1953 not 1806. (I went to the original listing to read the label better.) I wish we could see the category it was in.

OP1 year agoI was a master sommelier.
The bottle was tested in March of 1953 which is why that is on there.
A wine expert doesn't open the bottle but sticks a needle through the cork to test the wine and then the cap is placed back on. Interesting thing about old wine bottles...the cap...the metal lid around the cork is actually lead...which we all know lead in the mouth is bad for us like 'old paint might have lead in it'...which is why we don't let kids near for fear of eating it.
Just a few stupid wine facts.
