·3 years agoIf you have that much gold in the USA and are posting about it on a public board, you might be advertising that fact to some unknown visitors.
I was taught to never even tell my friends how much money I make or have.
It could be dangerous, I'm just saying...people have lost their lives for less.

·3 years agoI don't think that selling nearly $3M in gold on ebay is a wise move..... nor is buying it.... So scammers are coming here for help with their scams now?! LOL

I can lose a set of freeweights sent by freight for $20 in shipping... I just don't see a secure shipment of gold getting to me from across a room for that price.

·3 years agoOP...Truthfully, I would be hesitant to buy a Lincoln cent using your listing format as it stands. Too many ambiguities. Even if I was a multi- millionaire with money to burn, I wouldn't buy ANY amount of bullion here. The strategic requirements to ship it alone aren't worth the headaches. If you actually have that much solid gold, you should have NO problem moving it elsewhere.

gold is not sold in pounds, it is sold in ounces

you need to put more numbers in there,I dont think you have enough
I can see that you are only selling 1.1 pounds ?? bars but why all the other numbers.
its not clear at all just what amount you are selling.

·3 years agoONLY $1000? I paid way more than that to have it shipped next- day Air, over 49 days ago. Oh, well... When it finally gets here it will look great in the $ 10, 000 safe I bought to put it in.
To be serious, I have no idea how raw bullion can be sold here safely, if it even could be. And it can't.

This listing makes me nervous. Why does ebay allow new sellers to sell such expensive items right off the bat? I pray I'm wrong, but my gut says something else. Would hate to see this new seller be amongst the many who are scammed. I hope they'll take the advice of the many who told them this was a bad idea all the way around.

Given all the scams and fraud that occur regularly on all E commerce platforms, I would not selling those bars here on Ebay or any other platform. As a new seller, you are taking a big risk and setting yourself up. Remember someone can do a chargeback on anything you sell to them up to 180 days, claiming they didn't recognize that charge. You'll be out the gold and the money. Sell it locally to a pawn dealer or a jeweler who buys precious metals and sell it for cash.

I wish you well and please let us know the outcome. I would hate to see you taken by any of these e-thieves. We see it here on this forum daily and in multiples. People losing big money to scammers. Especially new sellers.

·3 years agoYou don't need a sales pitch. Just take that gold from those Ghanian "family holdings" to any legitimate dealer and walk away with suitcases full of cash for it. No reason whatsoever to flog it on eBay.

·3 years agoIf I wanted to buy gold, I would buy maybe the Canadian gold coins directly from the Canadian mint, or from a local pawn shop I trusted. I would never buy internationally. Good luck with your supply.

Is this post really just an advertisement trying to drum up off eBay transactions?

According to my calculations 12.4 Kilograms of gold is over 27 lbs. US. How is it that eBay has dispensed with the usual selling limits for new sellers that allows you to post the two items you have for sale?

·3 years agoI'm a gold and silver buyer, I would never buy online personally. Usually, I go to a local coin shop where you can get to know the sellers and pay cash. Just better.

Your calculations are pretty close for each 12.4 bar.
In the first lot there are 4 bars or a total of 49.6 Kilos of gold or just over 109 pounds.
That's 1,594.6 troy ounces.
The current market price of gold is around $1,864.00 per troy ounce. On the metals market that makes the first listing worth $2,972.464.00. Something is REALLY off here if my math is correct.

Honestly, you're not going to want to hear this, but I would find a gold buyer locally. Selling gold bars at roughly $26,000 USD per bar is just asking for problems.
This platform is not designed to transact gold bars at that weight. If you have gold bars of that weight, it seems odd that you would post such a message. You clearly should know your stuff and know better than to post them on eBay.
