Selling my unused phone, with proof of purchase, account got banned PERMANENTLY
Selling my own unused phone, with proof of purchase, resulted in my account being PERMANENTLY banned.
I followed every rule. I tried contacting customer service. Your CS cut off my calls saying that's for the case.
No proper explanation.
This is completely unacceptable. How is this fair to genuine private sellers?

·8 months agoI'm not seeing it and I'm in the UK. 🤔 Not sure why this account should be banned, though, for trying to sell a mobile. It might be for the best, though - those things are scam magnets.

·8 months agoIt looks like you just sold the phone yesterday.
Did you and the buyer have any discussions after the sale? Did you offer to take the transaction off-site? Did you try to sell additional items without listings?
Please give more information.
ETA: Sorry. When I posted the link to the listing, it diverted to a different listing. (Item number 177808445918 on the UK site.)

·8 months ago@ama-680891 You are not talking to eBay here.
As you have been told by others, this is buyers and sellers and eBay is not here.
This is also the US .com boards.
I dont know the policies for listing on the UK site and all we would be doing is guessing.
You may want to log out and log into the correct site to get help.

·8 months agoWho's CS, US or UK? I'm not sure what that means, cutting off your calls. You could try the ebay help on social media, but usually a permanent ban is a permanent ban.
The fact that the item was a phone (sketchy category) , and that we can't see transaction clouds things. I'm sorry, I don't think we can help much here.

·8 months agoSorry you had this bad experience on eBay; however, when you post here, you're not addressing eBay or its employees. These Boards are covered by fellow eBayers, both buyers and sellers, who volunteer their time here to help others when we can. That's it. We have no access to your account information.
So, as you can see, the CS reps are not ours.
