Selling my eBook
Summary: 1114moegantown asked about listing their Kindle short story series on eBay and received advice from powell-collectibles to get permission for selling electronically delivered items. Another user, kensgiftshop, suggested using a classified ad, which 1114moegantown confirmed after further reading. eastlaneave provided detailed steps on listing digital items via eBay's classified ads, including fee information and the appropriate category. 1114moegantown shared that their series is called 'Chronicles of a Productive Pothead,' consisting of short reads they plan to compile into a hardback.
I know to sell hardback or paperback I must have product in hand. But I just published the first of a short story series on Kindle Direct. How can I list it here?

You can sell digitally delivered items via a "Classified Ad"
Sellers not approved by eBay to list electronically delivered items can list their digital items in the "Everything Else > Information Products" category in the Classified Ad format.
This link should take you to "How to sell with eBay Classified Ads"
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/-/listing-tips/selling-classified-ads?id=4167
Create your listing on the Website, not the app
1) Select an appropriate Category (such as Everything Else > Information Products)
2) Click "Format" in the "Pricing" area
3) Select Classified Ad (Not Auction, not Buy It Now)
And this link should tell you about digitally delivered items:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/-/electronically-delivered-items-policy?id=4289
- The fee for a classified ad is $9.95/month whether your item sells or not, but there are no final value fees.
- When a buyer wants to purchase your item, you will be able to communicate your desired payment method and your delivery method.
- No shipping method is required for this sort of listing.
- You can email the item to your buyer.
- Digital books would generally be listed in Everything Else > Information Products

·3 weeks agoI think you'll have to list it as a classified ad.

OP3 weeks agoThat's what I am reading. I feel like such a noob asking before I researched on my own. thanks for taking the time folks. Pleasant selling to all of you.

·3 weeks agoWell, you are supposed to get permission to sell electronically delivered items on eBay. Some sellers do it without approval. I think that you can do it if you do something like send the downloadcode via mail.

OP3 weeks agoThanks. I started reading the rules, should have done that before asking. I have not been doing much on ebay, been way too busy writing lately. I will get permission. They will probably tell me no because of the subject matter, but it is worth a shot. Nothing dirty, but related to that which is almost legal. I appreciate you answering.
