Selling making sure you get your minimum bid
I am selling a camera and make sure that I get at least my minimum bid. I’m not sure why , but for some reason I had to sell for far less. I’m not sure what I did wrong, but I don’t want to have this happen again. Thank you

·10 months agoYou can if you wish add the Best Offer option to an Auction.
Most bidders understand that with Auctions, the BO should be higher than the opening price ( which is set as the lowest the auctioneer will comfortably accept).
So if you want $100, but would accept $80.00, you would set the opening price at $80.00.
No one can "bid" less.
You opt to accept Best Offers.
Within minutes a lowballer makes a BO of $75. You refuse.
On Day Five, a collector offers $150. You accept.
The auction closes to the collector, immediately, although no bids have been made.
But
KISS
If you know what price you want, use a Fixed Price listing for 30 days rather than an Auction for seven days.
Your item will have the opportunity to be seen by more buyers.
The buyer can purchase immediately, no waiting. Instant gratification.
Over 85% of listings are Fixed Price, because both buyers and sellers prefer them.
You can add Best Offer to FP listings, but expect the offers to be lower than the listed price.
You can (and should) make any FP listing "immediate payment required" .
The item will only sell when you are actually paid, but will be available until that happens.

·10 months agoI don't see a camera sold under this ID. Sorry... I'd eyeball the listing if I could find it. Good luck.
