·2 years agoIf you did consider shipping, even in the USA from a USA address, there are some plants that you can't ship to some states. The US Dept of Agriculture should have that information.

·2 years agoIt probably depends on what kind of plant. 🙂 These probably wouldn't fly.

Yes, you can sell in the US. Good luck should you choose to venture on with your plant business.
All the best

·2 years agoHave to ask: If you plan to list with local pickup only, why choose eBay as the venue as opposed to, for instance, FB Marketplace?

OP2 years ago@soh.maryl well i dont want to deal with cash, and wanted the people to pay online, and ebay seems the easiest for me

·2 years agoOK, whatever works for you in your situation. And you are aware, of course, that there will be some places where you can't ship. Plus there is the fact that, with the somewhat extended travel time for shipments any more, you may have quite a few "my plant arrived dead" complaints.
Best wishes to you in your endeavor.
PS: Have to ask: What's wrong with cash?

OP2 years agoI didnt notice the reply sorry 😅. Anyway, the plants are for local pickup only so there wont be dead plant complaints. The reason I don't want to deal with cash is just for in case of fake cash, I don't want to deal with those problems.

You are really overthinking this.

·2 years agoJust my opinion.
Selling live plants seems like it would be a huge pain in the butt.
Kinda like selling food/beverages that expire.
One of these days I will wise up and stop selling food and beverages. 😉
Good luck to you.

·2 years agoMany states (including California have strict regulations about non-native plants) but since you have "local pickup only" you should be okay.

·2 years agoYes you are allowed to sell them within the US. Quite a few sellers ship them but I have no idea which method works best or if they gave a lot of problems doing so.

·2 years agoI don't see a reason why not. But with local pickup, I may suggest to advertise locally and avoid the selling fees. Godspeed.
