·1 year agoMy eBay [seller] account was frozen twice for a total of 20 days for selling gay magazines. The magazines showed zero nudity, yet all were removed. That siad, I am seeing tons of gay magazines being sold on eBay.
How can I safely list my gay magazines without risking being penalized again?

·1 year agoIn all honestly, there's probably nothing you can do about it. Your items are being reported, most likely by other sellers. Ebay doesn't go hunting for things to remove, it's bad for business. The AI may alert the system or remove items with certain key words, but no one (human) working for eBay is hunting down your items for removal. You could try contacting customer service via the chat function to see if they can help you figure out why your items are being reported/removed, but other than that there's nothing you can do.

·3 years agoSorry to revive an old thread, but this isn't just happening with magazines. It's happening with DVDs, too. And I don't mean pornography. I'm talking 15 certificate or 18 certificate films in the UK. As soon as you state something is gay-themed (or something similar), it comes down. I've had Beautiful Thing removed, for heaven's sake. It is clearly a prejudice against gay items, or an assumption that anything gay-themed or with a gay protagonist is somehow falling under the "adult" category. But who are we supposed to complain to?
