Selling Costume Jewelry
I'm looking to sell some of my jewelry collection - it is all costume. However, it just doesn't seem to sell. I've tried individual pieces, or even groupings. Does anyone have any pointers?

·3 years agoJewellery is not only saturated here, but you can buy it by the box and bag at thrifts and from places like Thred-Up. I just got a box of good quality bracelets (50 of them) for $15 or so on Poshmark, including shipping. It goes for give-away prices.
Some costume labels are good, though, so I would pick those out - any Trifari (especially vintage), etc. and list them in your store with your other items. Any sort of no-name stuff I'd just get rid of and keep the good or unusual/artisan pieces.
ETA: I've done pretty well with Lia Sophia - you have a nice piece but it's hard to see it with the busy backgrounds. I would use a white china cup to drape it on and show it off, and do more close-ups. Photo'ing jewellery is tough, for sure.

Is it vintage? I would describe it as vintage, as there are still many collectors out there. There are also other jewelry and accessories sites you might do better on. Just a suggestion. Unfortunately, jewelry is a very saturated category.

·3 years agoI normally do not sell jewelry at all but came across a bag full of costume jewelry. Listed the whole thing as a "lot" and have had very few views in the last 6 months. Lowered the price to almost give it away and still nothing so far. Next step is Salvation Army.
