Selling car parts from United Arab Emirates
Hello everyone,
I have a car parts selling business in UAE, i registered one account on Ebay, it was approved, and i support to sell and ship international. But i still don't know which courier service is sure available for shipping domestic and international from the UAE. Please any idea of a convenience service? I tried one listing, i saw Fedex service, but i contacted my Fedex courier in UAE they said that Ebay is not available in UAE for Fedex, so why it showed up on shipping option? Thanks a bunch for you guys answers

OP2 years agoSo the most important answer was clear for me, that i can choose an option of shipping service on Ebay and send by a different similar service from UAE to countries. Thanks you guy a lot. God bless all of you for kindness!

·2 years agoSo can i choose option: standard shipping from outside US (5 to 10 business days) as it showing on the options, and then i will send to the US by a service from UAE?
Yes.
( i dont know what is Expedited sv means)
Faster and more expensive-- but without naming the service.
EBay deals with dozens of shipping services. They use generic terms to keep it simple for everyone.
IMPORTANT -- never never never use a Surface service.
Trust me.

OP2 years agoThank you very much. But "surface" service is what 😄, sorry for me no experience at all on Ebay. I read many of this rules from Ebay to sites, but nobody explain exactly how things work, this is why i need you guys experiences. Thanks a lot!

·2 years agoCorrect, surface is not by air. But I don’t agree that you should never use it. Surface is often used when people are in the same country or perhaps on the same continent. But if you use it to send something overseas, it can take a very long time by boat.

OP2 years agoThank you. Yes, inside UAE i use surface service for sure. And for abroad will use by air.

OP2 years agoThank you you guys very very much for the informations. All the time i just wondered if i could use another service courier different ( just a similar service from other companies) than the option i chose on Ebay so that it doesn't against the Ebay rule.

·2 years agoYou are not required to use eBay's shipping services.
It can be convenient, and in your category having the tracking information automatically added is very useful.
But I use postage stamps.
Many Canadian sellers use a forwarder called chitchatexpress to carry goods across the USA border and post them though USPS.
You can use FedEx or UPS or Machmoud's Finest Shipping and Laundry if you want.
Then manually add the tracking number to the form.

·2 years agoFor shipping from the UAE, you may want to consider using Aramex, DHL, or UPS. These courier services have a strong presence in the Middle East and offer domestic and international shipping options. You can contact their local offices in the UAE to inquire about their services and rates.

OP2 years agoThanks you guys a lot lot lot. But other question is when i made the shipping policy, i put all flat cost to all buyer on Domestic also International, i saw the option "Fedex International Economy (2 to 4 days / domestic - blank, empty, no date / International) .The manager in Fedex who opened for me the account from Fedex, yesterday told me that Ebay is not available for Fedex in UAE. So the question is if i choose this Fedex International Economy, and after that Fedex not accept to send as Ebay service, Can i send it by Fedex Economy Service normal and Ebay would accept it?
Thanks a lot!

·2 years agoWhen shipping from outside of the US you need to choose a generic service. In the domestic area for shipping to the US you would use one of the generic economy, standard or expedited from outside of the US. For shipping to other locations you would use one of the generic economy standard or expedited international shipping.

·2 years agoi put all flat cost to all buyer on Domestic also International,
When you list on dotCOM, "domestic" means from the USA to the USA.
When you list on dotCOM "international" means from the UAE to anywhere else.
When you list on dotCOM, you must ship to the USA.
This means choosing Flat Rate (as you did) then working from the UAE sites for shippers, choosing a Flat Rate that will cover your costs most of the time.
When you have learned how to do that and are comfortable, come back and ask about "Free Shipping".
Don't Panic!
Free Shipping means including your cost of shipping in the asking price for the item.
Buyers love it. It feels like a bargain.
But right now, leave the Flat Rate public and don't worry about it.

OP2 years agoSo Domestic on .com is for US region. So can i choose option: standard shipping from outside US (5 to 10 business days) as it showing on the options, and then i will send to the US by a service from UAE? Or also i see : Expedited services from abroad ( i dont know what is Expedited sv means) - Fedex International Economy, to ship from UAE to USA for "Domestic shipping"?

OP2 years agoThanks for those links, I am not shipping big quantity one time, only one by one but sometimes big size and heavy weight, and also from UAE to other countries, and i am searching service directly not through other party because will increase the cost. But thanks very much for helping, i will check them all.
Please anybody experiences just leave me directiona, thanks a lot.

·2 years agoI didn't look at all of those links but I think that they are from the US to the UAE, not the other way around.
I doubt that ebay is associated with specific carriers in the UAE. It is up to you to figure out which one you would like to use and price your shipping accordingly. If you are listing on ebay.com you can not use calculated shipping unless you are shipping from the US. When you make a listing here, you would enter the cost of shipping to the US. All other locations are considered international.
andreat_27
OP2 years agoThank you very much. I feel bad about this if what you said is true, because i don't know which service is really available and convenience my for business. And i can not reach Ebay customer service to ask about this, i wish they could give exactly which and where the couriers locate. Here most of the popular couriers like USPS, Fedex, DHL, UPS, Aramex... have warehouses and offices.
Please anyone with experiences could give me any information, so much appreciate ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™

·2 years agoThis is most a US based seller discussion forum so many of us may not know or understand the available carrier services in the UAE. The FedEx service may have given you some poor advice. What they may have meant is the eBay discounted shipping rates eBay has with FedEx may not apply in the UAE.
You need to check and see what other carrier services are available to you for shipping both domestically and internationally from the UAE, UPS or DHL for example. You may want to read through the following it has some information on the eBay integrated carriers although some of them may be country specific.
