selling all of the inventory to one buyer
I am interested in selling all of the listed inventory in my store to one buyer. Is there a way on ebay to take offers from people for all of it, while still selling retail? I want the safety of the sale through ebay and don't want to meet with people to make the sale.

·6 months agoThere is no way to synchronize your active retail listings with a bulk listing which is not akin to playing Russian Roulette with your selling account.
If you are through with Ebay for good, spin the barrel.

If a buyer is interested in all the inventory, why do you need to keep the separate listings active? Not only does it put risk that the lot buyer won't get all the inventory if someone purchases from the separate listings.
But also if you list the lot and it sells quickly, other buyers might buy one or more of the single listings before you're able to end them. And if that happens, the OOS (out of stock) defects will be horrific for your account.
Unless they're playing you, they'll buy it. No?
Have you considered how you'll handle it if you make a lot listing, they do buy the whole lot and then claim there are missing items or that some items are damaged?

·6 months agoConsider "local pickup only" and get paid in cash.
If the buyer doesn't like what they see, you can make a deal on the spot.
Even if it is cancelling the eBay sale .
I've never understood the "meet at the police station" idea. If there is one place there are likely to be crooks around, it's at the police station.
I don't like pickup so I tend to suggest the Friendship Hall at my church after Sunday service. Also free coffee,tea, cookies and bars.
But I have met at the Post Office and a coffee shop where I am known.

·6 months agoIt is about being transparent. I made $400 in sales to a college girl last year. When I met her at the police station to do the transfer, she told me she paid more for my stuff becuase I told her the exchange would be done at the police station if she bought from me and choose in-person pick up. It put her at ease and it got me the sales.
If my teenaged or college-aged nieces were buying from a middle aged man online, I would want that male seller to insist on meeting them at our local police station, and not in the Walmart parking lot.

·6 months agoA buy it now bulk listing is your best bet, Take down all of your Listings first, then do the bulk listing them as one lot, Remember Safety is never a guarantee.

·6 months agoBtw, if you feel unsafe meeting buyers in person, many police stations have a "safe trading zones" on their property monitored with cameras, well lit, and in common view of the public. Possibly an option for trading in person....

·6 months agoYou should have BUY IT NOW pricing "one listing" including all jewelry. Be sure you know correct "weight & measurements" before you create listing.
I don't recommend you take BEST OFFER if you plan on selling "some of the jewelry in a separate listing". This will make customer angry if they bid on entire lot and you "lower the count" after they bid. They will accuse you of "bait and switch".

·6 months agoNot sure what you mean by "safety" but if you are talking about not getting ripped off there is no safety on ebay for sellers.
Also when you say selling all of it and also at retail will this involve having the same items listed for sale on more than 1 listing? If so that is not a good idea.

·6 months agoCreate a bulk lot and have the buyer purchase the bulk lot listing. That's probably the easiest way for a buyer to purchase. You can add "best offer" to each. Please note that even though meeting people in person can be a risk this is a benefit where you get the cash in person and you are done. Where on Ebay the buyer can still return the item.

Create a listing, list everything in the lot. List as 'buy it now' with 'or best offer'.
You will have to, VERY quickly, edit the listing and 'erase' any item that you sell in the meantime.
You may call it, for example: "150 Item Jewelry Lot" and when 1 thing sells, you'll need to change the title "149 Piece Jewelry Lot" and change the detailed description.
