Selling Account Permanently Restriction (INR and BBE)
Dear All,
I have been a dedicated member of the eBay community since 2017, maintaining a Top-Rated Seller status and accumulating over 760 positive feedback from satisfied customers globally. I have successfully completed more than 5,700 transactions in last few years. I received an email saying that the reason for the restriction on eBay was the high INR rate (I actually only had 6 INR files in 492 transactions). Those are the delivered once the estimated period covered. Later, in my conversations with customer representatives, they said that the reason for the restriction was some BBE (Bad Buyer Experiences). I spoke to many customer representatives and I could not get a satisfactory answer from any of them with the details of this situation or whether I could start selling from my account again. It's like no one knows anything. What can I do for get my selling account back in action?
Thank you. Have a great day

·2 years agoI just opened an eBay account today and it was permanently restricted and they can’t tell me why. How do I find out what my account is restricted for? I haven’t even had the opportunity to actually sell anything so I don’t have bad ratings. I’m just really confused and a little **bleep** I’m not even given an explanation.

If you have been suspended once before, you'll be suspended again. Did you try to list something without setting up a payment account? Are you located in the US or somewhere else? eBay will never tell you exactly why you were suspended due to the fact that so many will try to circumvent their ruling. The person who opened this thread was most likely suspended due to retail arbitrage, which means they were shipping items from other e commerce sites, but advertising on eBay. They had no inventory and had too many unhappy customers. Read their feedback.

·2 years agoI THINK MORE THEN 50% UP ACCOUNT WILL RESTRICTED IN SOME NEXT MONTH BECAUSE OF THIS POLICY. EBAY DON"T MAKE SELLER POLICY

·2 years agoFor nearly 6,000 transactions receiving less than a thousand feedbacks shows there's a problem. All buyers don't leave feedback but receiving such a small amount shows a lot of buyers didn't care to comment. A lot of people are taught if you can't say something nice don't say anything.
If eBay removed your listings you are done.
If eBay allows current listings to run but they don't allow new listings you are done.
Plenty of sellers have way worse feedback than yours so I don't believe feedback comes into play.
Quit trying to find out exactly what the BBE was because eBay won't tell you because they don't want you to know exactly why because they think you will try to make another account and not make those mistakes again. They let you know when you were below average and gave you time to fix it before you were rated again.
I'm sorry but unless your restriction was for a definite period of time then it's indefinite, which is forever.

·2 years agoThat is all 100% NOT true. 1000 of 6000 is 17% and is about the norm; not counting that if someone leaves feedback for more than 1 item in a 7 day period, it counts as "1".
MOST people leave 'negative' comments WAY BEFORE positive, and that is in ALL walks of life. 10 of 100 people wronged and 9 of those 10 will 'tell others'
90 of 100 don't have an issue and maybe 1 of those 90 will tell someone.

·2 years agoActually, the OP is located in Sri Lanka, and they're beholden to ebays new "Bad Buyer Experience" policy, which does count negative feedback and INR's against sellers. Those rules dont apply to U.S. sellers.

OP2 years agoIf the anyone can help for solve this matter? Please let me know. 6 out of 10 negative feedback dropped buyers agree for remove those. All of them misunderstandly dropped those before the communicated with me. As a seller, I done my job. Sometimes we cannot be 100% perfect. So i think this restriction is totally unfair.

·2 years agoDid you read the link I gave you? That outlines the standard you are held to, which is different in some aspects from the standard U.S. and Canadian sellers must meet. (And most of the experienced sellers who post here are from the U.S. or Canada.)
No seller has to be "100% perfect," but all sellers must meet certain standards, and you failed to do so. There is little chance of your account being reinstated.

Sorry for your situation. Unfortunately none of us here can help you. Your feedback reads you were drop shipping, possibly counterfeits and you a lot of very unhappy customers. However here's the link to contact customer service via Facebook:

·2 years agoIn 2017, Sri Lanka didn't have a legal way to be paid.
At 96%, you've had some unhappy buyers.

·2 years agoThe call in customer support these days is pretty poorly trained and they will often tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone. You are in Sri Lanka so you probably fall under some of the new metrics eBay has imposed on international sellers. The following will describe the BBE and there are links that will explain several sections of it.
After you have read through the following if you still need assistance from eBay, which you would if you hope to get your account reactivated try connecting through FaceBook those individuals are pretty good and have the authority to actually make some changes/adjustments.

One of the early issues with the INR's was the new metric was being applied to every INR regardless of whether the seller resolved the issue in their favor or not. You can appeal to have those INR's removed from your metrics.

·2 years agoTbh, 6 INR out of 492 sales is a pretty bad average, and then you have 10 neutrals and 10 negs as well, most addressing receiving items that do not appear to be the same as the listing photos etc.
Were you selling cheap knockoffs you got from China suppliers?
Pretty sure your selling days on ebay are over. Permanent is exactly what it says here. You won't be selling on ebay again.
Sorry to be harsh, but better for you to hear the truth and figure out what to do next.

·2 years agoMaybe best bet is trying to get a supervisor to talk with, they may be able to answer more things than a 1st level rep can.
e_market_store
OP2 years agoThank you for reply, How can i do that?
rugerskick
·2 years agoIn the help section you can usually navigate further to an answer area where an option is that they can call you. When you get someone if you can explain what is going on and ask to speak with a person at the supervisor level.
