    Selling A Bracelet

I sold a bracelet cheaper than asking price. It was brand new from Bali Bead. The buyer wears it and wants to return it. eBay only gives me 18.00. Then I am told by eBay I have to let buyer return it even though it says I am not a store and don’t offer returns or refunds. Buyer returns the bracelet back damaged and then when I received the bracelet back I immediately file an appeal that never got looked at until two weeks later. eBay tries to take 35.85 from me but I only got 18.00 for the sale. So no not giving that back. Then they keep trying to deduct 35.85 that I never got. Then I finally won my appeal and they give me 30.00 back and then try to take it all back from me again after winning my appeal. They are still trying to take back the 35.85 from me and leave me with nothing and I am not giving the money back. Don’t sell on EBay and now I want to close my account and have nothing to do with them ever again. I have a broken bracelet can’t sell it and can’t give it away.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.104View listings

"eBay tries to take 35.85 from me but I only got 18.00 for the sale."

The reason you got $18 for the sale is because that's the net amount after ebay fees and the shipping label you had to purchase to ship the bracelet to the buyer were deducted from the buyer's payment.

When the buyer files a NAD (not as described) claim, they get their full payment refunded. That includes the shipping charge ($11.95) you charged in addition to the purchase price.

When they return, you have to pay for the return shipping label.

When you handle the claim appropriately, you get credited back for the fees you paid but when ebay has to step in (when you refused the return), you lost the fees.

They will hit your credit report if you don't pay your debt.

It is wrong and people will stop selling with them. I have been a member for over 24 years and never sell anything used or not as described. Buyers are taking advantage of sellers. It is not right and they tried pulling money that I don’t even get from eBay it is wrong to do that. I don’t want anything to do with eBay after 24 years . Not worth buying or selling. They are doing bad business to sellers.

With sixteen million sellers, and thousands more joining every month, not to mention the almost two billion listings, losing sellers will never be a problem for Ebay.

Sellers don't win appeals for returns. The 'first' time was a mistake.

No Returns does NOT mean 'No Refunds'. If buyer opens a Not As Described (broken etc.) sellers have 2 choices.

Pay return shipping and refund when it arrives.

Just refund, not paying for return shipping.

When you are 'sent' the message about the return, you must respond 1 of 2 ways.

Nothing New. Buyers have the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee (Find it, read it).
