Could lead to a seller being dropped and never allowed to be selling on eBay again. They want to make sure of the seller's reliability for the buyer's protection as well as the seller's. Make sense?
For various reasons, you shouldn't just dive in head first. This goes for returning sellers as well. You need to establish yourself with a few good sales, then ebay loosens the limits. Here's the whole official policy>
"Selling limits are designed to help you grow your business in a manageable way and to ensure you can give your buyers great service. As you get more comfortable meeting buyer demand, we’ll increase your limit."

·3 years agoBecause it wouldn't be smart if ebay let beginners sell 10,000 items without proving themselves first.
You start off slow, prove they you are a good seller, and work your way up, just like the rest of us.
