Selling
I'm small soup to nuts seller. Compared to last year sales this years seem nonexistent. I went to mostly "Buy it Now " and some "or best offer" and 2% promo fees. Still sales seem nonexistent. Now, last year was great for sales and I was doing Best offers, but only minimal profits. With Thrift store prices being 7.99 and up and in a poor area for thrifting, I guess my ??? is would it help to purchase a store program with only 500 to 600 items to help with sales and was it the wrong thing to do going to mostly All buy it now for a small reseller? Hanging in there by posting only 2 or 3 a day. Any input would be great, thank you.

·2 years agoDo not feel bad. A lot of us are in the same boat. Items that sold well the last few years have fallen off and now we just need to pivot to other things. Maybe have a yard sale or try another listing platform for clothing. Its constantly changing. I hope your sales pick up and we all have a better 2024. The economy this year is tough.
Keep going!

·2 years agoI doubt a store would change much about your selling numbers, but it might save you money if you are being charged much in listing fees. With your number of items, I would check the math on that.

·2 years agoI don't see any soup or nuts in your items for sale.

·2 years agoNo, subscribing to a store will not help. If you want sales, the "secret sauce" is to sell items people are looking for, for a price they are willing to pay. Not a hard formula, right?
Having hundreds of things in your store no one wants or that are over priced, does not help you, it hurts you.
You seem to be a mostly clothing seller, with other odds and ends added in. You are choosing to sell in the most flooded category on eBay. Clothing is tough unless you are selling things few others are, that are in demand. Your dresses seem nice, but are they pretty common? Is there a lot of demand?
It's better to list things that sell quickly, rather then sell things that sit forever. You want to move merchandise, not sit on it. What those things are, you need to find them in your area and sell them here. Maybe it's not clothing, but something else. A store subscription will not help you one little bit.

OP2 years agoThank you for looking! I am doing just that. Overall last year was great. This year not so much. Like I say pretty poor area for thrifting. Thank you for the input. Dumping and getting back on track.

·2 years agoNot sure what you think you would gain by enrolling in a store, but maybe I am missing a point here.
