·3 years agoSeparate and distinct as to whether it is illegal or against eBay policy:
EVERY seller here (assuming they are doing it right) charges their buyer MORE than what they paid for it. So, quite frankly, that part of your complaint is irrelevant. And, yes, even the "double the price" part is irrelevant. Sellers are free to charge whatever they want. Otherwise it becomes "price fixing" and THAT is illegal.

·3 years agoI don't recall having to be approved by eBay to drop ship. You do however have to follow the rules set in place by eBay for doing so.

There are sellers that use Amazon fulfillment centers to store and ship their goods. What is not allowed is someone using a prime account to fill the order then sending them as a gift to you after you buy.

No it is not illegal, how ever it does violate Ebay policies and it will not only end your account on Ebay, it will end your account on Amazon as well.
I wouldn't even consider it.

It is against ebay policy unless you are approved to do so.
But how would ebay even know you are doing it?
What if a person buys the item from you on ebay so you go to buy that item on amazon but the person you buy from on amazon is sold out.
Or the person you buy from on amazon ships it to the wrong address.
Too many things can go wrong.
It's risky. I wouldn't do it.

·3 years agoNot "illegal" - eBay doesnt allow dropshipping.
What a seller charges isnt policed either.
Buyers should do their own research on prices.
IF you find or buy a listing being drop shipped you can report the seller,
Also you can leave FB stating that the seller drop ships after you receive the item and have proof.
If you bought from them you can also report to Amazon.
