Seller Gave Wrong Address
Hi, I sold and posted and item.
Buyer gets back a few day later saying tracking says item not delivered, there was problem. Turns out he didn't give me his address but a local shop he wanted to collect from.
Told him to wait and open an item not received claim. He did this and my options seemed very limited, could only refund item, but feel like he's the one that's caused the problem.
Worse still, courier now has no record of the tracking or postcode I sent to !!!!
Will ebay reimburse me ?
Thanks all

If the buyer provided you an alternative address, that's on the buyer -- not you.
If the buyer opens up an "item not received" case, just post the tracking number showing that the item was delivered, and you're off the hook.
No need for a seller to refund, due to a buyer's error.

OP2 years agoHi, thanks.
Couple point, sorry:
1. EVRi didn't deliver parcel as it was a shop he thought he could just collect from so delivery not made. Tracking number and postcode now not recognised by evri app !
2. He opened a case and ebays options to me were contact him or refund, I'd already contacted him so have refunded but feel its not my fault

·2 years agoHi @rhrw36 . This is the .com forum - you may want to post this over on community.ebay.co.uk
Also, try tracking the parcel here:

·2 years agoIf tracking shows it was delivered, just upload the tracking number to the INR and you'll be covered.
If there's no tracking, then you'll have to refund.
No, Ebay will not reimburse you.
