Seeking advice - buyer filed payment dispute
I just had a buyer filed a payment dispute with his payment provider. This is my first time dealing with buyer chargeback so I hope to get some advice.
Buyer initially accepted my offer but didn’t pay in 48 hours. I offered to hold the item for him if he needs more time. He agreed and paid a week later. He filed payment dispute immediately after the package was delivered and the reason is buyer didn’t recognize the transaction.
I have our conversation on eBay Messages about him wanting the item but needing more time to pay, as well as tracking that shows delivered. I’m about to respond to dispute and wanted to have everything that can support me prepared. I also want to report the buyer but filing false payment dispute isn’t included as one of the reportable reasons.

OP3 years agoYou should be fine. If your shipment has a delivery scan and the buyer opens payment chargeback for reason of item not received, you should be covered by eBay seller protection regardless of the decision by the buyer's credit card issuer.
