Scammed out of money
I sold an item on eBay and never received my payout to the correct account. When I addressed this problem they told me to contact my bank and my bank saw nothing coming through from eBay. The tracking number to find the money was also non useful. eBay basically told me too bad there’s nothing more we can do. Now I’m out of my purse and 80$. Never doing business with eBay again.

·2 years agoAs others have noted there is not enough information to provide much advice other than just guessing. If you signed up for managed payments there should have been a couple of micro-deposits done as part of the validation/verification process. Take a look at your account settings under payments and validate/verify that the bank and account information is correct and that you did not make a typo when entering the account information.
When the item sold did your seller hub under actions indicate you had been paid and you should ship the item or did you receive notification in some other format. If the later how were you notified you had been paid and it was time to ship the item?
It is possible, as others noted, that your funds are on hold. The following link will explain the funding holds process and has a link to check to see if you have any funds on hold.

·2 years agoEBAY holds payment for 30-days for all new sellers. Normally EBAY deducts "selling fees + postage" and balance is deposited into checking account 3-5 days AFTER sale is made.
In order to get paid you must enroll in Managed Payments. You must provide your checking account# and social security# (for tax purpose). NAME on your checking account, social security card and EBAY profile page must be EXACT MATCH (otherwise you application may be denied.

Sorry for your situation. Did you take the sale off of eBay? Did someone contact you stating they couldn't pay you and to remit your Paypal account number to pay you? More info would be helpful so that we can help.

Though it is good to warn against that activity, I don't think that is the case here. The OP sold one item, and has gotten feedback for same.
Did you sign up for eBay's managed payments?

Does eBay still allow newbies to post listings for sale BEFORE they have completed the MP requirements? I know they used to, but didn't think they still did that.

You seem to be new to selling. You are subject to Payment Holds. See if this is helpful to you:
