scam
Ok so I sell paracord lanyards and I always include a free keychain. I don't mention the keychain in the listing. I just sold some and the buyer started a return request misrepresenting the keychains as the item saying I misrepresented the item... I'm just out of luck aren't I. I already blocked him from my other items.

Sadly this happens sometimes. I do occasionally send a thank you gift to a buyer, but I only do it with my repeat buyers that I know will understand what it is I'm sending.
Sad that people respond the way they did with you. It is so unnecessary. My response to this buyer would have included telling them the keychains were a free gift that you sent with what they purchased and paid for.

I suspect that the motivation of this buyer might not be scamming, but is more detestable.

·1 year agoIt happens sometimes. Not really a scam ... there are just bad/dishonest buyers who abuse the eBay Money Back Guarantee to get free return shipping.
Accept the return.
Refund only when the item is received back to you.
As part of the refund process, report the buyer for abusing the eBay Money Back Guarantee ... if the buyer gets enough reports, they will lose the opportunity to use the Money Back Guarantee.
