Sample of What Happens When Sellers Aren't Backed Up and Buyers are Allowed to Steal
Hello- I made a Sale for $6.50 with free Shipping. Buyer Paid and I left immediate feedback after packaging up the order. 1/2 hour later I receive this message from the Buyer. If you'll read this, its amazing but the guy admits getting 3 refunds and threatens me with having to refund him. I have not changed anything in this message and its as he wrote it.
YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND SOMETHING!!!
I will not tolerate this tracking **bleep** EUSU you sellers use.
It is not a tracking number that buyers can follow!
I have just given some negative feedback in the last month to those using this "ESUS" number and today, the 18th got my 3rd—refund from eBay.
From Google search about ESUS tracking...
ESUS is eBay's standard envelope tracking. They don't get scanned upon delivery, so the delivery date is estimated based on the time they get checked at the destination post office. Many times it's a few days off.
I have no way of tracking this item!
and that's screwed up!
I am **bleep** at you sellers for using this awful system for tracking.

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO REAL TRACKING?? YOU GUYS ARE NOT DOING US BUYERS ANY GOOD!

OP3 years agoThanks for the support gang - How I handled him was quite professional I thought. I gave him the option - pay the $5.00 FOR Real tracking or we can cancel the order as I'd never want someone to accept what they don't want.
Point being though is I know what he was trying to do. When you ship withe ESU it always shows delivered a day or 2 before it really gets delivered. Its scanned when it goes thru the sorting machine, not at the door. Thats the point he uses to strong arm his refunds. He says he got nothing three times and thats the part that is stealing as if its true then his beef should be with his mailman. Not all Lazy sellers. I've been on eBay and bought a ton since 1998. Maybe I've been lucky but I've only not got something twice. And this guy has three in 3 weeks. Thats impossible. He got all three I'm sure and never paid for them. This individual has left so many negatives for sellers its amazing. There is nothing that can't be fixed if something goes wrong. Never a need to use the word bleep when talking civilly to a human being.
Oh and by the way he chose the cancel as he didn't want to pay any more.

·3 years agoI've used EsE (Ebay Standard Envelope) to send hundreds of EsE's without a problem. It works; provided you follow the rules that allow the envelope to be machined.

·3 years agoImmediate BBL addition for sure. You could always add a first class shipping option to your listings. Some buyers may be willing to pay for it.

If tracking doesn't show it was delivered, they can file an INR for a refund.
From what I've heard about it, I wouldn't use it to ship anything, no matter how cheap it is.

·3 years agoIf the buyer despises envelope shipping/tracking so much, offer them regular tracking via First Class or Priority Mail ... but it will cost more.
Explain to him that yes, you are trying to save money in order to save HIM money.
On a $6.50 item with free shipping he wants "real" tracking? LOL
