Sales down and now it seems buyers cannot checkout as guest and must create account?
Tried to purchase something using another computer, incognito and wanted to just purchase as a guest. There are only 2 options, create account or sign in. No more Guest??

OP7 months ago@eburtonlab thanks for doing that. I still can't get it to show that 'guest' off to the right, but I guess it still works somehow. Thanks again.

There may be protections in place to prevent sellers from purchasing their own items as guests.
Admittedly, the process took me several tries to get that option to show; I wonder if the Allstate pop-up is causing problems for that flow. For most items (without warranty options), choosing the buy-it-now leads directly to a simple pop-up with a choice to sign in or check out as guest.

·7 months agoIt may depend on the type of listing or the item itself.
I just tried a random auction listing with a buy-it-now option and see options to "Sign in to check out" or "Check out as guest" when using buy-it-now.

OP7 months ago@eburtonlab can you try one of my listings (none are 'auctions, all are BIN, IPR); obviously you don't have to complete, just click BIN not signed in and see what the offers are (as there was NO 'check out as a guest' when I did it) and I tried 3 times.

I just tried with your Gloss Black Aluminum Sample -- I was directed to the Allstate pop-up and then to what looked like a standard sign-in page. Tried again, but was somehow signed in to my account. Signed out and tried again; once more to the sign in page after the pop-up, but I noticed an extra option at the bottom of the page to "continue as guest". When I tried that again, the "continue as guest" was gone, replaced by a "stay signed in" box.
I tried adding the item to my cart while not signed in and got to my cart with a notation at the top indicating that I was not signed in: "You're signed out right now. To save these items or see your previously saved items, sign in".
Going to checkout without signing in lead me to an option to check out as a guest:
