sales but no emails or appearance in the Hub
I accepted 2 offers today but have received no emails and they do not show up in the Hub. No idea if they have been paid for. Anyone else?

·1 year agoThe process of accepted counter-offers moving to pending status on the listing's offers management page is something eBay has been rolling out.

While offers are in pending status the item is available for anybody else to purchase until the buyer pays. eBay is trying to eliminate the inconvenience to sellers when buyers lose interest after an item ends so the seller does not have to start from scratch and lose interested buyers when they relist. They're also trying to eliminate the inconvenience of having your item off the market during the 4+ day waiting period for payment.
If the buyer does not pay within a certain amount of time, the offer will expire and be removed from the pending section. If the buyer pays then it will become an official transaction on your orders page. In the meantime, any buyer can purchase at full price or make an offer.

Did you perhaps accept COUNTERoffers?

OP1 year agoOne was a basic offer. One was from someone countering an offer I sent using the "eligible" section of the Hub. I for sure accepted both of them.
If it's just me I guess I'll call CS.

@keziak
Counter offers you accept presently behave differently. When you "accept" one of these, the buyer is not notified per se, but it will be treated like any offer you SEND. This item will remain for sale until someone pays for it. It will not show in awaiting payment. You cannot invoice the buyer, send a reminder, or file an unpaid item cancellation after the requisite 96 hours. You can contact the buyer via the "contact member" feature on their feedback page and let them know you accepted their counter offer, and where to find it (under offers received).
Sorry, have no help on the "other one".... Let us know what you find out.

OP1 year agoInteresting. I guess most of the time they pay so fast I don't notice a delay. Maybe they are on West Coast and not up for the day.
Are you saying if they counter and are accepted they are not notified?

OP1 year agoI called CS and ittybitnot nailed it on the counter offer I got and accepted. The other one was still not accepted and w hen I did , I got the email. I couldn't explain this on the witness stand. Really thought I accepted it.

·1 year agoDon't you have to accept offers first before they pay?

OP1 year agoSure, what is what I did. But it's like it never happened. Hopefully a temporary glitch.

·1 year agoFor what it's worth, I only see one Sold (paid for, I assume) item today... "Appetites".

OP1 year agothat is right plus I just got a "regular" order, not an accepted offer. Offers are not always paid right away but they show up on the Hub and I get emails. Just not so far today.
