Retro hard drives
Guys - was about to junk this, but was curious and looked up pricing on eBay and some folks are selling 90s hard drives calling them retro for 50 bucks! Example - Fujitsu
M1623TAU which I have 2 pieces of. Who is buying these? I am wondering if I should keep my newer hard drives from 2005 another 10 years and have them appreciate in value or even another 20 years -
serious question here, thoughts?

·1 year agoIt's hard to say. Years ago I knew a guy that salvaged a bunch of CPU's from old computers. He said he used them in his little homemade robotics he liked to play around with.

·1 year agoCollectors, no doubt. People do restore those old computers, even if they can't go on-line with them. Most old computers aren't going to appreciate in value, but at the same time, anyone who wants to keep them running can do so with the right vintage parts. You can't swap a modern hard drive into a vintage desktop and expect it to work. "Retro" is a good (if vague) term to signal that the hard drive is intended for older machines, not present-day ones.
