If a buyer returns a book due to 'bought by mistake', would you implement a restocking fee, if so, how much % ?

·5 months agoThey aren't allowed and even if they were I wouldn't implement one. I never do that local and would do that here on Ebay.

FYI, with your free returns, you pay return shipping but since you charge separately for shipping (with the purchase), you can withhold that from the refund. (Refund would be for the item price only.)
Some of your listings have free shipping and for returns on those items, their whole payment would need to be refunded. (You can't withhold the shipping cost when the buyer didn't pay for it separately.)

·5 months agoI don't think we are allowed to use a restocking fee, Besides If you offer free returns then you have to abide by that.

·5 months agoRestocking fees are not allowed on eBay.
“Sellers may only deduct an amount from the buyer's refund in order to recover lost value when an item is returned used, altered or damaged. Sellers may not use this protection to recoup market losses on items returned in the same condition or recoup return postage and/or restocking costs.”

You accept returns.
You can't charge a restocking fee.
