Research pricing bug
Anyone else having issues with the research prices tool when creating a listing? Its been working great for me since i started with ebay around 6 months ago but the last week or two it hasnt been working at all. I have alot of listings and normal put up anywhere from 20-50 at a time and that tool helps TREMENDOUSLY, being able to see the last sold prices at one click. Now i have to research each individual item because when i click the button the average is wayyyyy off and it shows different items than the one im selling. For example i made a listing for the new white reshiram pokemon card from the new set. Its around 400$ but when i hit research it shows a completely different card and the average as like .70 cents or something like that. And its doing it for all my listings. It shows the same price and item for every listing when i hit research prices to find a good average. Any help here? i cant find any way to reach out to ebay for help on this either.

·1 year agoeBay is constantly tinkering/making changes to features that end up changing the functionality of said features -- sometimes temporarily but other times forever. You can report a technical issue from the "?" icon at the bottom-right of just about any page. The more people that report a problem the more likely it will be looked into.
Personally, I've never trusted the pricing tool on the listing page. I sometimes try it to see if they've made it any better but it almost always omits relevant listings and includes irrelevant ones. It's obviously using different logic than the main search engine.
