Requesting Manual Manager Review for Below Standard Volume Glitch (99.3%) positive Feedback
Hello Community Managers,I am requesting an urgent escalation to the Leadership Appeals Team to manually review an automated defect on my account. My long-term goal is to achieve Top Rated Seller status, and my operational health shows I am right on the doorstep. I am already at Top Rated level for 1 of the 4 core evaluation metrics, and I sit within a combined total .84 of a percentage point of hitting Top Rated status for the other 3. My account holds a 99.3% positive feedback rating, a 96.15% Tracking upload & validated rate, a 0.67% transaction defect rate, and a late shipment rate of 3.64%.Despite this, my account was dropped to Below Standard due to an automated rolling volume shift. Last month my 3-month transaction denominator was 777. This month it dropped to 745. Because the total number of transactions shrunk, my 3 historical cases spiked from 0.38% to 0.40% for "Cases Closed Without Seller Resolution."Crucially, these cases were financially resolved. The buyers were fully refunded out of my own pocket, though the financial transactions were processed outside the specific case portal. On one of these orders, the buyer ultimately received the physical item on top of the full refund I provided. There was zero intent to ignore these buyers—they were fully compensated, and my 99.3% feedback proves my commitment to my customers satisfaction.Beyond the 5% final value fee penalty, the Cassini algorithm is now severely suppressing my listings in search results. This search drop is devastating my sales, making it mathematically impossible to get the new transaction volume needed to dilute this metric naturally. This automated loop is effectively killing my business and completely freezing a $1,000 investment I just made in a new Ricoh scanner to grow my store strictly on the eBay platform. One of these 3 cases drops off automatically on July 16th. Given that financial resolution was fully provided to the buyers, my goal is Top Rated status, and my operational metrics are near-flawless, I am asking a community manager to please review the transaction histories and escalate this file to have just one defect manually removed early so my business can survive until July. Thank you.

·4 months agoThat "automated rolling volume shift" will get you every time. Crucially, there isn't much you can do about that except either a) sell better stuff, b) deeply discount your current inventory, or c) sell better stuff at deep discounts. You've got 5,500 items. If you aren't selling at 400 items within the 90-day rolling period, somethings wrong and it isn't eBay.
You have to play by the same rules as everybody else. I don't know why you think you are so special.

Ok, enough of your story, let's talk about your buyers' stories. Any?

·4 months agoNot how eBay works...eBay is automated, they love automation, we all have to follow the automatic nature of eBay. There is no manual override because you wish for one. You and you alone are responsible for your accounts...to eBay, it is what it is. For buyers and sellers who feel if they could just talk to someone at eBay, eBay will understand their position and make it all better...not how it works

·4 months agoThis is not the answer to your question and won't help resolve your problem, but how much money can you make selling single cards for less than $5?

·4 months agoI am sorry to tell you this, but, when you post here, you aren't addressing Community Managers or the Leadership Appeals Team and am also not sure eBay has such things.
These forums are staffed by fellow eBayers, both buyers and sellers, who volunteer their time here to offer advice or suggestions when we can. Nothing we do can have any effect on your account and we cannot even review your account.
If you do get back out of Below Standard, may I suggest that you work hard to avoid situations where a refund is required and that, if you do refund, you do it inside the eBay transaction so that there's a record of it?

Your feedback has 4 negs and 4 neutrals, most of which are for NAD (not as described) items. Several were missing pieces and others were described in a way that wasn't the type of item the buyer received. Another buyer said it took two weeks before you shipped the item even though I'm seeing a 2-day handling time.

·4 months agoNo community managers here, no leadership appeals team, sorry.
Plus, we can't view your items, we can't see your feedback. So obviously there is more stuff going on here than we are even aware of. All you've provided us with is a "word salad" of numbers, not the actual facts that is causing you an issue and causing your metrics to sink.
Sorry can't help you even if we wanted to.

·4 months ago@gb58 , @authentic*vintage : This problem is a longstanding Khoros bug where the forum software fails to pick up a change of ID by the user. This link will bring up their feedback page with access to their current listings:

·4 months agoThank you again for that link. After looking at the OP's Items for sale and feedback score I feel like everything I said above in my first answer still stands.
OP has to dedicate himself to customer service.
Thank you again. I should have checked from my laptop and it may have brought everything up.

·4 months agoActually no; it requires manual intervention to work around the Khoros bug (although it's probably easier to do the necessary workaround on a laptop than on a phone).
Although you should be able to bring up the OP's feedback or listings by clicking on their feedback count or "View listings" link respectively, both of the embedded destinations behind those links are not carrying the OP's current ID, but a previous one instead. The quickest way to get to the right place is to follow either of the dead links, then edit your browser's address line to take out the OP's old ID showing there, and paste in the current one in its place.
Thus in this example, the embedded feedback link is encoded as
https://feedback.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/neil.kingery?&ssPageName=STRK:ME:UFS
You'll need to edit that link to replace neil.kingery with d3bayer_slabbed_me instead:
https://feedback.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/d3bayer_slabbed_me?&ssPageName=STRK:ME:UFS
The "View listings" link would need a similar repair.
This is not an eBay issue or the OP's fault; it appears to be a Khoros bug.

·4 months agoYou just gotta push on through. All of those metrics are fully automated.
I went to have a look at your listings and I can't see them for whatever reason - I also cannot see your feedback. I don't know if that's something on my end or not.
The only real option here to push your numbers up is to continue to sell. Things that will sell.
When you think about it the cost of promoting listings, running sales, etc sometimes is more than doing sort of a discount platform where you sell inexpensive items that are sure to sell and it's more or less of a break even situation for you - but it will help you boost your numbers and put you in a position to profit once your habits are established and you cannot imagine letting an item rest that needs to be shipped.
You have to dedicate yourself to customer service and to your store. You have to take this completely seriously and that means if you get a sale at 10 o'clock at night you get up and you pack it and put a label on it and prepare it to be shipped out the next day or at least as soon as you wake up.
I've learned that ebay and the algorithm will take you as seriously as it sees you taking it.
Good luck

OP4 months ago"Thank you so much for the inspiring graduation speech, but I don't need a lifestyle coach. I need a technical metric adjustment for an automated volume drop. My 97% on-time shipping proves I already pack my items instead of 'letting them rest.' I'm running a tight commercial operation here, not a hobby. Next time, try reading the actual dashboard percentages before dispensing generic boilerplate advice."

·4 months agoNo one will adjust your metrics. You play by the same rules as everyone else. 97% on-time shipping does not prove anything, except that you are focused on the wrong things.

This is a forum of buyers and sellers and the collective experience is that automated data for determining your seller level is automated, and unlikely to be explained away.

·4 months agoGood Morning.
The fact is you have to dedicate yourself to customer service.
By the way if you're going to use AI generated content to respond to people's suggestions, I suggest removing the em dash and also removing the quotation marks around your paragraphs.
When you consult with AI for answers you have to be as honest with it as you would be with your attorney of your physician.
Again spend the next several months completely dedicated to customer service and I mean it when I say you get up at 10 PM because you got a notification on your phone that you made a sale. Get it packed and shipped out the next day.
If you want a good prompt for AI ask it "what can I do to improve my customer service over the next few months and improve my metrics on ebay."
