Requesting extra money on ebay listing

Question

I want to sell an item to a buyer who has agreed on a modification that costs extra, how do I request the extra money?

Thanks for everyone's input and help. In the end I just increased the listing price and then changed it back. In the future I will probably just make different listings or include a variation drop down.

instead of making a new listing or changing the invoice after the sale you could just go in and edit the shipping costs for this listing before they buy it. jacking up the shipping cost for special treatment is fast and easy with an edit when all you want to do is charge more for an extra

Make a new listing to reflect what is included-- the item plus the modification. Price accordingly.

Or if they've already purchased it and paid, make another listing just for the modification. You could put what item it refers to in the listing.

So should I temporarily modify the price of the item or modify the invoice that way? Also it seems strange that ebay doesn't have a proper method for doing this without making a separate listing
